Who Will Win The 2021 US Open? Golf Preview, Picks, Odds and Best Bets

It's time for another golf major and this week we've got the 2021 US Open at the famous Torrey Pines. And, as with any major golf tournament, this one comes with more people looking to bet on the outcome, so scroll down for our three favorite outright winner picks!
We've gone through this week's US Open field at Torrey Pines and found three guys that we like to win this golf tournament, varying from one of the top favorites, who still represents good value at shorter odds, down to some nice value on a couple of stars that look set for big weeks at longer odds! We also show you the best sportsbook promos to play.
After successfully picking Garrick Higgo to win the Palmetto Champinship at 40/1 last week, we're going for back-to-back wins at this week's US Open.
With crowds returning and almost every big name out there, we're set for an awesome four days of golf ... and betting! As we do each and every tournament, we provide you with our best golf picks for outright winner, as well as some in-play picks throughout.
Let's get into our best bets for this week โฌ๏ธ

Dustin Johnson +1400 (14/1)
Bet $10, win $140 at PointsBet
As with most major championships, you could really throw a blanket over the top six or seven guys and not be surprised if any of them came out on top this week.
So with that in mind, I'm looking for value in the favorites, and the guy that stands out is Dustin Johnson at +1400.
At the start of the year, DJ was around +1000 for each of the four majors, and although he's not been at his best in 2021, this odds shift is too big for me not to take this week.
At last week's Palmetto Championship, DJ came out firing shooting a six-under par round on Thursday, followed by a three-under on Friday. Although he didn't keep that up over the weekend, the signs were there that he is close to playing his best golf and, honestly, I think he was satisfied with what he produced in the first two days and was happy to use the weekend to experiment with a few things, whilst also not pushing himself too hard just a few days out from this week's massive tournament.
With so many guys having a genuine claim on the title for best player in the world, DJ's ability to flip a switch and play some unbelievable golf - coupled with what he showed last week - makes him our top betting pick for the 2021 US Golf Open.
BONUS PICK:
Another of the top guys that presents decent value this week is Justin Thomas (+1800). JT has often spoken about how much harder he's finding it to win his second major than he did his first, and will be doing everything he can to end that curse in the last US-based major of the 2021.
In our pre-2021 majors write up, we put forward JT as our top chance to win the US Open, so there's a chance you already have some money down on him, but if not, the +1800 looks nice for a guy who is great at the long iron approaches that are vital at Torrey Pines.

2021 US Open Value Bet ๐ฐ
Patrick Reed +3000 (30/1)
Bet $10, win $300 at BetMGM
Similarly to JT above, Patrick Reed is a guy that we liked for this tournament as far back as December 2020, when we picked him as our best dark horse at +4000!
At +3000, this still looks like a solid bet, with the main reason being that Reed has since won at this very venue when he took out the Farmer's Insurance Open in January.
As well as the importance of long iron approaches, Torrey Pines will forever favor those who can also scramble well and make big putts, which are two traits that Reed has been showing for years now.
As always with the US Open, guys that avoid making bogeys will be highly-rewarded, and Reed is someone I can picture slugging out six or seven straight tough pars on the home stretch to hold on and win this golf tournament.
BONUS PICK:
One of our successful picks so far in 2021 has been Daniel Berger, who we correctly put forward for the the Pebble Peach Pro-Am in February.
Berger (+5000) is one of the guys coming through right now who doesn't really have a weakness on the course and should be right in the mix come the weekend.
At around +4500 to +5000 with most books, Berger is certainly worth some pizza money, as are the two guys we're going to get into below.

Charley Hoffman +10000 (100/1)
Bet $10, win $1000 at DraftKings Sportsbook
A popular pick here at Dimers, Charley Hoffman has been well and truly out-performing his odds and DFS value for most of 2021, and at 100/1 this week, the 44 year-old looks like a solid play again!
A disappointing 80 on Saturday at the Memorial in his last event means his recent record doesn't look quite as good as did prior, but it's still been a hot run from the San Diego local!
Finishes before The Memorial: T3, T17, T18, T11, T18, 2nd, T34, T17, T10, T52, T7.
Seriously, go back and read that again. Eleven events, eleven made cuts, nine(!!) top tens and two top threes.
Hoffman is enjoying what is probably the most consistent season of his career, and if there's one thing we love betting on here at Dimers, it's guys who are continually getting themselves in with a shot of winning come the weekend.
BONUS PICK:
Australian Cam Smith (+5500) is our final pick for this week's US Open, with the 27 year-old certainly over the odds coming into this week's tournament.
Smith is another guy enjoying his most consistent season so far and with impressive showings at majors in the past, it's a genuine surprise that his odds aren't closer to the +3000 mark!
