The PGA TOUR heads to Texas for a two-week stretch, starting with the Texas Children’s Houston Open from Thursday, March 27 through Sunday, March 30 at Memorial Park Golf Club.
Stephan Jaeger returns to defend his first-ever PGA TOUR title, but he’ll face stiff competition from world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler and No. 2 Rory McIlroy.
McIlroy arrives in top form after his recent victory at THE PLAYERS Championship, while last year's runner-up, Scheffler, is eager to find his winning form after searching for his groove this year. Returning champion Jaeger, coming off two top-10 finishes, hopes to repeat last year’s success.
Our predictive analytics model has run 1000s of simulations with the field in this tournament, identifying intriguing bets in the winner and placement markets. Our best bets are here to help with outright winner plays, as well as recommended Top-5, Top-10 and Top-20 picks.

The Houston Open Betting Preview
We tee off a two-event run in Texas with this week's action at Memorial Park Golf Club, a public course that measures 7,475 yards at a par-70. It features bermudagrass greens and challenging slopes that punish golfers who miss their greens.
A field of 165 players features some of the best tuning up for The Masters and plenty of others looking to get their spot in the field at Augusta.
Other notable storylines include Tony Finau who tied the course record in the second round last year looking to rebound from three straight cuts and Wyndham Clark who will be making his first start since a withdrawal from THE PLAYERS.

Best Bets to Win the 2025 Texas Children's Houston Open
With a big field and Scheffler and McIlroy eating up over a third of the outright win probability, we see chances tail off dramatically, but there's some value near the top. We're looking at three golfers who sit among our top contenders.
Aaron Rai (+2800 on DraftKings)
The Englishman is our third-most likely winner at Memorial Park and has come close for us more than once this year.
Rai has started here three times, nabbing a pair of Top 10s and a Top 20. He's in his best form of the year, finishing T4, T11 and T14 in his past three events. He ranks 19th in SG: Total, 28th on Approach and 23rd Off the Tee - enough that should offset his less than ideal driving distance on these long fairways.
He's not a value play, but his odds are right in line with our model's 3.4% probability. Combining that with his recent results, history and top three projection makes him a solid play.
J.J. Spaun (+3500 on FanDuel)
A heartbreaker caused Spaun to miss his first win of the year and second of his career by inches just two weeks ago at THE PLAYERS. But, he's had three such close calls this year (T3, T2 and his playoff loss at THE PLAYERS).
Spaun is in excellent form this year - 16th overall in SG and 2nd on Approach, a critical metric at Memorial Park. He's never topped 30th at this course, but he's made every cut and he's coming in to this event the best he ever has.
At 3.2%, our fair odds for Spaun would be +3000, while you can get him as long as +3500 at FanDuel.
Si Woo Kim (+4500 on FanDuel)
Our final winner pick is on Si Woo Kim with the fifth-highest probability to win at Memorial Park, where he finished T17 last year.
The South Korean has the most success of these three in his PGA TOUR career with three wins, though his year so far hasn't been his best. He's still got four Top 25 finishes, as high as 12th at Pebble Beach, but he's looking for his first real push.
He's 24th on TOUR Around the Green and 35th Off the Tee, /his Driving distance is not great, but his accuracy and solid approach should carry him into contention
Si Woo Kim is also our best ladder play for the week with our model identifying value in each of his placements for Top 20 (+190) Top 10 (+400) and Top 5 (+900), as well as the outright win.
Best Top 20 Bets for the 2025 Texas Children's Houston Open
In addition to the outright winner picks with value, we've got a few placement bets to consider for this week's Houston Open as well. As well as being value plays as single wagers, consider playing these in a parlay to potentially rack up some serious profits.
J.J. Spaun to Finish Top 20 (+150 on DraftKings)
We already explained why Spaun makes a good sprinkle for a winner this week and that same reasoning applies here. Four Top 20s this year, three of this Top 5s, and a good course fit.
At 44.1%, his fair odds would be closer to +120, giving us a clear edge.
Danny Willett to Finish Top 20 (+1000 on DraftKings)
This is not technically a value paly based on Willett's odds alone - our 7.9% Top 20 probability would suggest he should be closer to +1150.
However, Willett's competition at similar projections are all at vastly lower odds, anywhere from as low as +450 to +800, meaning he's the best value from this crop. You have to go down to golfers at 5.5% or lower to hit the next guy at +1000 or longer.
Willett ranks 1st on TOUR in Around the Green and Scrambling and has a great putter. He's a longshot, but he stands out in our projections.
