In For Six: Breaking Down The Six Biggest College Football Games of Week 11
1. LSU Tigers vs. Arkansas Razorbacks - 12:00PM ET
Despite having two losses, LSU is still in the playoff picture after its overtime win against Alabama. The Tigers also control their own destiny in the SEC West division.
This is a typical let-down spot. LSU is coming off of a big win at home. Brian Kelly’s team now hits the road to face a lesser quality opponent in Arkansas. The Razorbacks are coming off of a disappointing loss as two-touchdown favorites against Liberty. Sam Pittman is a great coach and won’t let his team have two straight down games.
LEAN: Arkansas +3 - The spread may seem small to some. Expect this to grow in favor of LSU as we get closer to kickoff. We expect this game to be super close. It is a rivalry game and the atmosphere will be electric. Give us Arkansas plus the points. A moneyline bet wouldn’t be a bad play either.
2. Louisville Cardinals vs. Clemson Tigers - 3:30PM ET
Clemson is looking to stay alive in the College Football Playoff race as the Tigers will battle Louisville on Saturday.
Louisville is one of the hottest teams in the ACC. The Cardinals have won four straight games. The dynamic playmaking ability of Louisville quarterback Malik Cunningham could give the Clemson defense trouble. Clemson still has an uncertain quarterback situation to figure out. Is D.J. Uiagalelei still the guy for Dabo Swinney?
LEAN: Louisville +7 - We don’t expect Clemson to lose two straight football games. That just isn’t in the Tigers DNA. However, we think Louisville has a dynamic enough offense, especially at quarterback, to keep this a one-score game.
3. Alabama Crimson Tide vs. Ole Miss Rebels - 3:30PM ET
This is a critical game in the SEC West. Alabama sits with two conference losses and the Crimson Tide need help to make the SEC Championship Game. A loss here for Alabama would eliminate them from contention. Ole Miss is tied atop the SEC West with LSU, but the Tigers own the head-to-head tiebreaker.
Expect Vaught-Hemingway Stadium to be rocking on Saturday. Alabama hasn’t performed well on the road in quite some time.
LEAN: Under 63.5 - We expect the Rebels to have their way on the ground which will chew up the clock. Alabama’s offense struggled last week, and we expect the Ole Miss defense to mix up looks defensively to mess with Bryce Young. Give us the Under in this game.
4. UCF Knights vs. Tulane Green Wave - 3:30PM ET
This is the game of the year so far in the American Athletic Conference. UCF and Tulane both come into this game as ranked teams by the College Football Playoff committee.
This will be the second road game in a row for UCF after beating Memphis last week. Tulane is one of the best stories in college football as they have already won eight games after only winning two last season. These two teams have two of the best rushing offenses in the conference.
LEAN: UCF +2.5 - This is an evenly matched game. Both teams are good at running the football and both play well on defense. UCF quarterback John Rhys Plumlee will be the X-factor in this game. UCF plus the points is the safe bet here. If you are feeling dangerous, a moneyline bet isn’t a bad play either.
5. Washington Huskies vs. Oregon Ducks - 7:00PM ET
Pacific northwest rivals Washington and Oregon meet in Eugene on Saturday night. This game has Pac-12 title and College Football Playoff implications.
Oregon has looked like the most dominant team in the Pac-12 ever since its opening loss to Georgia. The Ducks offense hasn’t scored below 40 points since that Georgia game back in early September. Quarterback Bo Nix is posting Heisman Trophy-quality numbers. Washington has won three straight games after losing to Arizona State. The Huskies also have solid quarterback play from Michael Penix Jr.
LEAN: Washington +13.5 - Oregon has a strong defense led by Noah Sewell, but Washington has a solid group of receivers that will challenge the Ducks defense. We like Oregon to win this game outright, but the Huskies will hang around for a bit.
6. TCU Horned Frogs vs. Texas Longhorns - 7:30PM ET
TCU is one of four remaining undefeated teams. This is the Horned Frogs toughest regular season game left. Texas is an ultra-talented squad that is tied for second in the Big 12 with Baylor and Kansas State. Both teams would really benefit from a win.
It might shock people to know that Texas is a touchdown favorite at home against the 9-0 Horned Frogs. TCU can exploit Texas in one category. Texas gives up an average of 258 passing yards per game. TCU is excellent in the passing game. Look for quarterback Max Duggan to have a big game in the explosive passing game category.
LEAN: TCU +7 - Both teams have performed well against the spread this season. TCU is 7-1-1 and Texas is 6-3 against the spread in 2022. Texas has the talent advantage, but we expect TCU to have a great day passing the football. Give us TCU plus the points. The DimersBOT has identified an 11.2% edge on the TCU moneyline. Jumping on that might not hurt either.
