We also show you the best sportsbook promos to play.

After successfully picking Garrick Higgo to win the Palmetto Championship at 40/1 recently, we're confident of keeping the run going!

Outright Winner

2021 3M Open Best Free Pick ๐Ÿ†

Tony Finau +1600 (16/1)
Bet $10, win $160 at PointsBet Sportsbook

Since I started writing these article 12 months ago, I've picked Tony four times, with the 31-year-old twice being listed as the top pick.

Well here we are again, picking him for the fifth time in a year, hoping that something will change. What did Einstein say was the definition of insanity again?

Anyway, on to why Tony is a good bet this week. Even though he doesn't win enough, he's often putting himself in a position to contend, including two 2nd-place finishes this year alone.

Finau is overdue for a win this week and with plenty of the big names out, the Utah-born golfer is our top betting pick for the 2021 3M Open.

This tournament saw a three-way playoff last time it was played in 2019, with three guys around Finau's level duking it out. Matthew Wolff (more on him below ๐Ÿ˜) took down Collin Morikawa and Bryson DeChambeau on that occasion.

It's completely understandable if you want to fade Finau to win this week, but you'd be crazy to not at least bet him for Top-5 (+310) and Top-10 (+170) finishes.

2021 3M Open Value Bet ๐Ÿ’ฐ

Matthew Wolff +3000 (30/1)
Bet $10, win $300 at PointsBet Sportsbook

Matthew Wolff hasn't quite been himself throughout the 2021 season (except for his two US Open performances where he finished 2nd and T15) but this is the perfect week for him to bounce back.

Wolff has been open about his mental health struggles - in particular since the pandemic - and will likely be looking forward to getting back to the tournament where he recorded his lone PGA victory.

The 22-year-old(!!) is still growing as both a golfer and a person, but getting back to TPC Twin Cities can only bring good memories for him and with that in mind, he looks like great value at 30/1.

After withdrawing from last week's Open Championship, Wolff is primed and ready without having to fly to the UK and back, making this the perfect week for him to return to the winner's list.

2021 3M Open Dark Horse ๐Ÿ”ฎ

J.T. Poston +8000 (80/1)
Bet $10, win $800 at PointsBet Sportsbook

After last week's Dark Horse pick, Robert MacIntyre, stormed home to finish T8 at The Open, we're feeling good about this week's play!

J.T. Poston didn't compete in The Open, instead he played at the Barbasol Championship on home soil, where lost in a playoff to Seamus Power after the pair finished the week on 21-under(!!).

Last week's showing alone is enough to back him in at 80/1 this week, and even though he has only made the cut in 14/26 events this season, he also has a 3rd place finish at Sanderson Farms and has won on the TOUR in the past!

Check out the highlights from J.T.'s lone PGA win here๐Ÿ‘‡
