Warriors vs. Suns NBA Betting Preview, Picks and Odds - Tuesday, October 25

The Phoenix Suns will be looking to make a statement when they host the defending champion Golden State Warriors at the Footprint Center at 10:00PM ET on Tuesday, October 25. This is a matchup between the two teams that many expected would meet in the Western Conference Finals a year ago, but the Suns were unable to get by the Dallas Mavericks. Meanwhile, the Warriors ended up winning it all, while the Suns were the joke of the offseason.

Phoenix did, however, decide to run it back with a roster that is almost identical to last year's, so the Suns front office clearly believes that this team can still compete at the highest level. And Phoenix will have a chance to prove that in what should be a game that is played with playoff-like intensity on Tuesday.

Here is Dimers' free betting preview for Warriors vs. Suns, plus our picks, score prediction, best odds and player props are featured in this article.

Three Things To Know Before Betting On Warriors vs. Suns

1. The Matchup That Wasn't

As previously mentioned, everybody in the world wanted to see these two teams play in the Western Conference Finals last year and it was pretty shocking when the Suns got blown out by the Mavericks in Game 7 of the round before. Now, Phoenix has a lot of questions to answer on its way back to the postseason. But along the way, the Suns will try to make a few statements. They did that in a big win over the Clippers the other night, but can they beat the Warriors at full strength? We haven't quite seen that out of this Phoenix team yet.

2. Chris Paul Needs To Make Some Threes

One of the biggest differences between this year's Suns team and last year's Suns team is that they are putting Chris Paul in more off-ball situations. Phoenix wants guys like Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson and Deandre Ayton to be ready to make plays with the ball in their hands when the postseason rolls around, and they're also trying to keep Paul fresh for the playoffs. With that, Paul is getting a lot of clean catch-and-shoot opportunities from three. But he's only shooting 9.1% from deep early in the year and it's time for that to change. He's a career 36.8% shooter from three and it's only a matter of time before he makes some from there.

3. Suns Hard To Stop Once They're Rollings

Since the start of the 2020-21 season, the Suns are 40-22 against the spread when coming off a road win. They're also 19-8 ATS off a road win by double digits in that span, and Phoenix won those games by an average of 9.4 points per game. On top of that, the Suns are 29-8 ATS as home favorites of six or fewer points in that same span. They generally take care of business in games like these, but it's obviously impossible to rule out the Warriors.
