Leg 1: Xavier Hutchinson Over 18.5 Rec Yds (-120)
Let's get started with our first leg as we look for Texans WR Xavier Hutchinson to clear his modest line of 18.5 receiving yards. Hutch has seen a minimal role so far this season, operating behind Stefon Diggs, Nico Collins and Tank. Dell, but Diggs and Collins are both out now. Since Collins went down, Hutchinson cleared this twice, both times with a single long gain of 19 yards. After seeing 3 total targets in the first four weeks of the season, he's seen 7 in the past four and leads all other backup Texans WRs in snaps.
The Texans have to throw to somebody besides just Tank Dell and while Dalton Schultz should see an uptick in usage, the combination of a low line for Hutchinson and our projection of 10 full yards over makes him our pick for Leg #1.
Leg 2: Garrett Wilson Over 61.5 Receiving Yards (-110)
The Jets wideout was a half-yard short in Week 7 of riding a four-game over streak into this TNF contest and has seen 8+ targets in all but one game this season. Davante Adams has yet to get going in this offense and while he's had 15 targets of his own since joining the Jets, Wilson has been the beneficiary of Adams' presence.
Even with a strong passing defense, the Texans have allowed a WR to hit this in all but two games this season, including a pair of 100+ yard games.
We're projecting Wilson for 67 receiving yards tonight.
Leg 3: Tank Dell Anytime TD Scorer (+175)
We close out with our TD prop as always, and we're revisiting that depleted Texans passing game for a play at some fair odds.
Tank Dell broke out as a big-play target for C.J. Stroud last season with 7 TDs and has scored both his touchdowns this season in the past three weeks. Nico Collins and Stefon Diggs have stolen some of his thunder this season, but he's now the de-factor WR 1 in this offense.
His 36.5% anytime TD probability is right in line with his odds of +175 and getting plus money on a team's #1 wideout is always a good thing, even against a stingy passing defense like the Jets, who may look to stifle the run game and force the Texans to challenge them through the air more often.
