Top MLB Betting Trends for Tuesday, August 8

1. Ryan Jeffers (MIN) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 10 of last 10 games
Odds: -180

Ryan Jeffers is a name you need to take note of. The Minnesota catcher has been absolutely on fire lately, going 10 consecutive games with a hit and looking like there's no chance he will slow down. Today he faces Detroit starter Eduardo Rodriguez, who has been the culprit of an awkward situation where Detroit wanted to trade him but he used his no-trade-clause to block the deal. With Detroit fans ready to turn on him, we aren't expecting his best stuff and Jeffers takes advantage of any pitcher that doesn't have their A-game.

2. Eugenio Suarez (SEA) To Record an RBI

Frequency: 11 of last 12 games
Odds: +180

The most impressive streak in all of baseball right now is Suarez' incredible run of RBIs. After 10 consecutive games with a run batted in, Suarez went without a ribbie on Saturday but he responded exactly how you would hope a star would respond - with another RBI on Sunday. He faces the Padres' Nick Martinez today, and has reached base in one of two attempts in their previous matchups. We expect Suarez to have plenty of RBI opportunities today, and at +180 odds, this is great value.

3. Juan Soto (SD) To Record an RBI

Frequency: 8 of last 12 games
Odds: +155

For our last leg of the trends parlay, we're dialing up Juan Soto, who has an impressive RBI streak of his own. In 66% of his last 12 games, Soto has driven in a run. As the heart of the loaded Padres offense, Soto always has chances, and today against Logan Gilbert we expect that to continue. At +155 odds, this is a play we recommend scooping up whether in our trends parlay or as an individual leg on it's own.

Remember to gamble responsibly and set limits on your betting activities. It's important to approach sports betting as a form of entertainment, rather than relying on it for financial gain. Set a budget for yourself and stick to it, and never bet more than you can afford to lose. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, crisis counseling and referral services can be accessed by calling 1-800-GAMBLER.
