Top MLB Betting Trends for Tuesday, August 22

1. Kerry Carpenter (DET) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 16 of last 17 games
Odds: -200

Simply put, Kerry Carpenter is one of the hottest hitters in all of baseball. if you go to our MLB Trends page, you'll see trending streaks of hits, RBIs and even home runs. We're taking the most simple approach here, backing Carpenter to record a hit for the 17th time in his last 18 games. Carpenter homered last night, so he should be feeling great. Tonight he faces former Tiger Drew Smyly for the first time in their careers, and the advantage goes to the emerging Tigers star slugger.

2. Seiya Suzuki (CHI) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 9 of last 10 games
Odds: -210

We're staying in the same Chicago vs. Detroit game, but flipping to the Cubbies next, where we find Seiya Suzuki. Suzuki has been in incredible form over the last week and a half, as evidenced by his awesome results of recording a hit in nine of his last 10 games. Suzuki faces the young Tigers starter Reese Olson last night, and it's the first time they have went head to head in their careers. We like Suzuki's chances big time to continue his hot streak.

3. Mookie Betts (LAD) To Record an RBI

Frequency: 9 of last 13 games
Odds: +140

For our last leg, we're going with an RBI prop, much like last night when we cashed our Trends parlay. This time, it's the Dodgers' Mookie Betts who will need to come through for us. Betts is an electric talent, and at the top of a loaded Dodgers lineup, he is the heartbeat of the LA offense. Tonight he faces Noah Syndergaard, who has gotten the better of Betts over the course of their careers, striking out Betts in 33% of his nine at-bats. However, we expect Betts to flip the script tonight, as Betts is in significantly better form than Syndergaard. Lock it in!

Remember to gamble responsibly and set limits on your betting activities. It's important to approach sports betting as a form of entertainment, rather than relying on it for financial gain. Set a budget for yourself and stick to it, and never bet more than you can afford to lose.
