Top MLB Betting Trends for Thursday, August 3

1. Christopher Morel (CHI) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 10 of last 10 games
Odds: -175

Everyone on the goddamn Cubs is hot it seems, including Christopher Morel. The slugger was at it again last night as the Cubbies one again put out a dominant offensive display, with Morel hitting a home run and registering three RBIs. It's the tenth straight game that the 24-year-old has recorded a hit, and with yet another game coming up against the Reds, look for that trend to continue into Thursday. Cincinnati - who has been brutalized in the past two games, conceding 36 runs, will be sending Luke Weaver to the mound. Weaver can tend to let games get away from him, allowing an average of six hits per start to go along with 3.9 ER per start over his last 10.

2. Mike Moutstakas (LAA) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 9 of last 10 games
Odds: -170

The Moose was kept hitless in the Angels' loss to the Braves on Tuesday but was given some time off last night in order to prepare for Thursday's meeting with the Mariners. Tough match up against Atlanta aside, Moustakas' form has been impressive over the past two weeks with a .300 avg to go along with 5 RBIs and a home run. The Halos continue to disappoint, and their season continues to slip away, but they have another chance to right the ship with a good performance against Seattle tonight and Moustakas will be expected to play a role.

3. Eugenio Suarez (SEA) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 8 of last 9 games
Odds: -130

Most hitters in the MLB would be daunted by the prospect of having to meet Shohei Ohtani on the mound, but Eugenio Suarez won't be one of them; especially when he's in the midst of a heater like this. Suarez has been unconscious over his last couple of games, recording multi-hit games in three of his last four, including a three-hit performance against the Red Sox yesterday. As if he needed any more reasons to come into tonight's game against the Angels filled with confidence, he is rocking a .375 career avg against Ohtani. Gobble the -130 odds up while you can.

Remember to gamble responsibly and set limits on your betting activities. It's important to approach sports betting as a form of entertainment, rather than relying on it for financial gain. Set a budget for yourself and stick to it, and never bet more than you can afford to lose.
