Top MLB Betting Trends for Sunday, July 30

1. MJ Melendez (KC) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 12 of last 14 games
Odds: -190

The Royals are enjoying a nice little weekend against the Twins, winning both games of the series thus far and looking to make it three when the two teams meet again this afternoon. MJ Melendez has been a factor in Kansas City's success, notching a hit in each of the two games of the series, continuing a hot run of hits in 12 of his last 14 games. He gets a matchup against Minnesota's Kenta Maeda. Melendez hasn't seen too much of Maeda before, facing off just once, but did record a hit.

2. Yan Gomes (CHI) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 7 of last 7 games
Odds: -235

The Cubs are on fire and so is Yan Gomes. Fresh off a dinger last night, he's now put together an impressive run of games with hits in each of his last seven outings. He now has a .294 avg in the month of July and looks good to continue the hot streak against leftie Cardinals pitcher Steven Matz. Gomes has a tidy .320 avg vs. lefities this month.

3. Max Muncy (LAD) To Record an RBI

Frequency: 8 of last 10 games
Odds: +125

Not much can stop Max Muncy right now. The L.A. slugger was at the double last night, hitting two home runs in a dominant performance. He now has RBIs in eight of his last 10 games, which includes 2+ RBIs six of those. Not only is this a trend worth betting, but it might be one worth putting as a ladder play with 2+ RBIs +340 and 3+ RBIs at +900.

Remember to gamble responsibly and set limits on your betting activities. It's important to approach sports betting as a form of entertainment, rather than relying on it for financial gain. Set a budget for yourself and stick to it, and never bet more than you can afford to lose. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, crisis counseling and referral services can be accessed by calling 1-800-GAMBLER.
