Top MLB Betting Trends for Saturday, August 5
1. Ryan McMahon (COL) To Record a Hit
Frequency: 9 of last 11 games
Odds: -185
Hitting .263 this season which places him inside the top-75 in all of MLB, Ryan McMahon has been on quite the tear lately. Six of his last nine games with a hit have been multi-hit games (not unlike our next hot trend). He's significantly better against righties than lefties like he'll face today in the Cardinals' Steven Matz, but Matz is allowing a .270 average to opposing hitters this season.
2. Bryan Reynolds (PIT) To Record a Hit
Frequency: 11 of last 13 games
Odds: -175
Not only does Bryan Reynolds have a hit in 11 of his last 13 games, six of them are multi-hit games, including a pair of three-hit outings in the past three nights. He simply knows how to make contact and there's not much more you can ask for from a guy with a -175 hit prop. He'll face the Brewers' Corbin Burnes, who's been good this year, allowing just a .195 average to batters this year. Reynolds has a .238 lifetime average against Burnes, however, so he's in a decent spot.
The value here on Reynolds is difficult to pass up, so head on over to our Best US Sportsbooks and Betting Sites section and claim an awesome Welcome Offer.
3. Adley Rutschman (BAL) To Record an RBI
Frequency: 4 of last 5 games
Odds: +195
The O's keep on rolling and their young core is getting it done. They obliterated the Mets last night in a 10-3 rout in which Adley Rutschman picked up an RBI for the third-straight game. He's as good on offense as any catcher in the sport. He's up against the Met's Tylor Megill who's making his first start since June and he gave up at least four ER in four of his last six starts.
