Three MLB Trends You Need to Bet on Saturday, August 5

The weekend is almost here and we are diving in hoping to make some money with the MLB player prop trends that you should be betting on for Saturday, August 5, 2023. Today's edition of notable MLB trends features guys from baseball teams such as the Rockies, Pirates and Orioles. A parlay of all of our top three trends combined would return odds of +614!

Using the information helps sports bettors place smarter bets on Major League Baseball today. To get these insights, we run over 10,000 simulations of every game to determine where the betting value lies and where the sportsbooks' odds are wrong - allowing you to bet with an edge. It's part AI and part machine learning, all designed to help the sports bettor profit from their MLB betting.

Our brand-new MLB Trends page is now live on Dimers.com as well, so you can scope out what our model is identifying all day, every day.

Now, we know you probably already have an account with one of the leading sportsbooks here in the US, but it definitely pays to have more than one funded account and you'd be helping us out if you joined one via the links here on Dimers.

Find out which books are best, who has the best new customer offer, and how you can secure better odds and lines for all of your bets, in Dimers' Best US Sportsbooks and Betting Sites section.

For example, you can get not one, not two, not three, not four, but FIVE second-chance bets when you sign up and create a new account with PointsBet! Simply sign up and you'll get your first losing stake up to $100 each over your first five days. This is an offer not to be missed.

Top MLB Betting Trends for Saturday, August 5

1. Ryan McMahon (COL) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 9 of last 11 games
Odds: -185

Hitting .263 this season which places him inside the top-75 in all of MLB, Ryan McMahon has been on quite the tear lately. Six of his last nine games with a hit have been multi-hit games (not unlike our next hot trend). He's significantly better against righties than lefties like he'll face today in the Cardinals' Steven Matz, but Matz is allowing a .270 average to opposing hitters this season.

2. Bryan Reynolds (PIT) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 11 of last 13 games
Odds: -175

Not only does Bryan Reynolds have a hit in 11 of his last 13 games, six of them are multi-hit games, including a pair of three-hit outings in the past three nights. He simply knows how to make contact and there's not much more you can ask for from a guy with a -175 hit prop. He'll face the Brewers' Corbin Burnes, who's been good this year, allowing just a .195 average to batters this year. Reynolds has a .238 lifetime average against Burnes, however, so he's in a decent spot.

The value here on Reynolds is difficult to pass up, so head on over to our Best US Sportsbooks and Betting Sites section and claim an awesome Welcome Offer.

3. Adley Rutschman (BAL) To Record an RBI

Frequency: 4 of last 5 games
Odds: +195

The O's keep on rolling and their young core is getting it done. They obliterated the Mets last night in a 10-3 rout in which Adley Rutschman picked up an RBI for the third-straight game. He's as good on offense as any catcher in the sport. He's up against the Met's Tylor Megill who's making his first start since June and he gave up at least four ER in four of his last six starts.

Remember to gamble responsibly and set limits on your betting activities. It's important to approach sports betting as a form of entertainment, rather than relying on it for financial gain. Set a budget for yourself and stick to it, and never bet more than you can afford to lose. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, crisis counseling and referral services can be accessed by calling 1-800-GAMBLER.
