Top MLB Betting Trends for Monday, August 14
1. Austin Riley (ATL) To Record 2+ Bases
Frequency: 11 of last 14 games
Odds: -105
The trend we've found here was actually originally Austin Riley to get a hit, but when you look deeper at his numbers, there's an equally strong trend with much better odds. Austin Riley to get a hit is -270, but his 2+total bases prop gets you nearly even money. In every game he's picked up a hit this month, he's tallied 2+ bases, either by way of an extra-base hit, multiple singles or with the home run ball. Any way you slice it, Riley has a knack for rounding the bags and there's no reason to expect that can't continue tonight.
2. Matt Olson (ATL) To Record an RBI
Frequency: 14 of last 17 games
Odds: +115
Another even-money prop that's hitting at an elite clip, Matt Olson has recorded an RBI in 14 of his last 17 games dating back to July 28 for a total of 27 RBI in that span. He's raked 13 homers in the past month to seize control of the MLB home run lead, so if you're feeling extra saucy, grab him to go yard for an even bigger payout. But we'll gladly take the RBI prop for the value we're getting on a trend that's been hitting at an 82% clip.
3. Ronald Acuna Jr. (ATL) To Record an RBI
Frequency: 8 of last 12 games
Odds: +150
For our final leg, we're looking for the Braves' superstar and NL MVP favorite Ronald Acuna Jr. to drive one home. He hasn't picked one up in back-to-back nights, but you'd have to go back to a mid-July stretch to find the last time he went three-straight games with at least one RBI. He absolutely mashes with a 1.007 OPS against righties like the Yanks' Clarke Schmidt who will take the mound. He could get this done with a leadoff homer or by driving home one of his teammates in the following innings. Let's ride.
