Top MLB Betting Trends for Friday, July 28

1. Mickey Moniak (LAA) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 15 of last 15 games
Odds: -180

There doesn't appear to be a man hotter in the MLB right now than Mickey Moniak. With a hit in each of his last 15 games, Moniak is one of the men responsible for having to continue to perform if the Angels are going to hold onto Shohei Ohtani past this off-season. The Halos start their weekend series in Toronto against the Blue Jays tonight, meeting starting ace Kevin Gausman, a man who has averaged five hits per start over his last 10.

2. Michael Harris (ATL) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 9 of last 9 games
Odds: -240

The Braves have one of the strongest batting lineups in the MLB, and their man who bats at No. 9 in the rotation is their hottest. He's going for 10 straight games with a hit tonight when he matches up against the Brewers. Milwaukee will be sending out Adrian Houser to the bump to start this one. Harris has seen Houser before, albeit briefly, going 1-2.

3. J.D. Martinez (LAD) To Record an RBI

Frequency: 9 of last 11 games
Odds: +120

Martinez was held a couple of nights ago in his last game against the Blue Jays, but don't take that as a sign that this is not a trend worth betting on. The Dodgers slugger has notched RBIs in nine of his last 11 games and finds himself in a beautiful place in the Los Angeles batting lineup, behind guys who get on base with regularity. If the likes of Betts and Freeman are on song, Martinez will be driving them home against the Reds.

Remember to gamble responsibly and set limits on your betting activities. It's important to approach sports betting as a form of entertainment, rather than relying on it for financial gain. Set a budget for yourself and stick to it, and never bet more than you can afford to lose. If you or someone you know has a gambling problem, crisis counseling and referral services can be accessed by calling 1-800-GAMBLER.
