CFB Parlay for Saturday October 8, 2022
TCU Horned Frogs vs. Kansas Jayhawks
Bet Kansas +7 (-110)
College GameDay heads to Lawrence, Kansas on the same day as the Red River Shootout. Nobody would have believed this was possible heading into the season. But the Jayhawks have answered every test thrown their way so far, with decisive victories on the road against West Virginia and Houston, followed by gritty wins against Duke and Iowa State at home.
TCU has the speed to score on anybody, and there will be no shortage of explosive plays in this one. But Jalon Daniels is more than capable of going toe to toe and winning a shootout, and seven points is too much for the home team here.
Kansas State Wildcats vs. Iowa State Cyclones
Bet Kansas State -2 (-110)
Not many teams in the country have been as impressive in the last two weeks as Kansas State. Quarterback Adrian Martinez lit up Oklahoma in Norman and followed his masterpiece up with 171 yards on the ground and two touchdowns in a win last week against Texas Tech.
On the other side, Iowa State has been lackluster pretty much all season. A three-point road win against a middling Iowa team is the only impressive feat, and they've lost games and failed to cover in big matchups with Baylor and Kansas since. This Cyclones team doesn't possess the same offensive firepower that it did last season, and we don't see the Cyclones keeping up with Martinez and the rest of the Wildcats offensive attack on Saturday afternoon.
Texas A&M Aggies vs. Alabama Crimson Tide
Bet Texas A&M +24 (-110)
Jimbo Fisher and Nick Saban have been taking turns throwing shots at each other since the offseason, leading up to this week's high-profile matchup. Alabama undoubtedly is out for revenge, and if given the opportunity I'm sure the Crimson Tide coaching staff wouldn't mind going big.
But lost in all of this is the fact that the A&M defense is rock solid. The Aggies defense gives up just 17.8 points per game, and they already held three straight solid offenses in Arkansas, Miami and Appalachian State to 21 points or less. Texas A&M can keep this close, especially given that Bama's quarterback Bryce Young may not even play in this game. Too many points, take them.
