The Five Most Fun Ways to Bet on Baseball

The dog days of summer are here, but for baseball bettors, that doesn't mean we can't find enjoyment! Our baseball models are firing daily to help bettors find the best MLB edge plays. Whether it's home runs, pitching props, Futures, or Round Robin bets, there's plenty of value for bettors looking to get in on the Major League Baseball action. Here's our five favorite ways to bet baseball.

1) Dinger Tuesday

Dinger Tuesday is an exclusive promotion from FanDuel Sportsbook and one of the best promos across all of sports betting. Here’s how it works: place one $25+ bet on any player to hit a home run in any Tuesday night MLB game, and for every home run hit by either team in the game, you will earn $5 in bonus bets, up to a maximum of $25 per game.

In short, win or lose, you could potentially cash in $25 in bonus bets for every game in which you place a home run prop.

If you’re not signed up at FanDuel, head on over and do so ASAP. They’re offering new users a risk-free bet up to $1,000 on your first wager. Combined with the Dinger Tuesday promotion, there's no other place you should be betting on home runs this Tuesday.

We post weekly Dinger Tuesday best bets, which you can find here.

2) Home Run Round Robin

In case you haven't noticed...(ahem), we've had quite a bit of success with our next favorite way to bet baseball this year - the Home Run Round Robin. How it works: bettors pick five players to hit a home run that day, and rather than parlay them all together in one bet, you Round Robin them, making smaller parlays of two legs, three legs, four legs, or all of the above.

If you bet them all, you get a good pay day if three or more hit. But if four or five hit...you'll be swimming in the winnings. We source our Round Robin Home Run picks daily from our model's MLB Best Props. Follow us on twitter and instagram so you don't miss them!

3) Home Run Parlay

Another one of our favorites is the Home Run Parlay! While we use many of our favorite home run bets each day for our Round Robin plays, we save our very best probability plays for the Home Run Parlay.

Every day, we choose two hitters that have a great matchup, a great history of success in a certain ballpark, are on a hot streak or all of the above, to go yard with a home run that night. We parlay them together and the results usually yield a parlay between +1500 and +5000 odds.

You might ask...do we hit these? The answer: YES! Just don't forget to tweet us your winning slips.

You can even build your own with our Dimers Parlay Picker here: dimers.com/parlay-picker

4) Strikeout Props

It's not all love for just the hitters here at Dimers, we love a good pitcher's duel too. That's why we added strikeout props, along with other pitching props like earned runs allowed, hits allowed and more to our MLB Props page!

Betting pitching props is a great way to enjoy betting an MLB game. It often comes down to matchups against left-handed or right-handed hitters, but other variables including ballparks, weather, form and history vs. certain hitters can come into play. But there's nothing more satisfying than betting OVER on a pitcher's strikeout prop and watching them ceremoniously mow down batters one by one for the next three hours.

When we have a strikeout prop worth sharing, we love to push it out early on our twitter and instagram pages. Stay tuned for more!

5) MLB Futures

Last but not least, we love our MLB Futures bets. Our MLB futures model updates constantly with the most real-time probabilities for each team to win the division, their league and the World Series.

We love our MLB Futures so much, we placed a handful of Futures bets based on our model's favorite preseason plays, and gave away shares of the bets to our followers.

This won't be the last time we do a giveaway like that, so stay tuned for more. In the meantime, enjoy our MLB Futures predictions where you can make your own World Series bets.
