Suns vs. Nuggets: NBA Betting Predictions, Picks and Odds for Christmas Day - Sunday, December 25

The Phoenix Suns swept the Denver Nuggets in the playoffs two years ago, so it'll be testy when these teams meet in the final game of the Christmas Day NBA slate. This one tips at 10:30PM ET and will be played at Ball Arena, where a shorthanded Phoenix team will try and pick up a big road victory over Denver. The Suns have had an up-and-down season thus far, but there has been a lot more bad than good recently. Now, the team will be hoping that a big matchup on a big stage can help be the catalyst for a big run. Either way, this is one that you're going to want to watch. Both of these teams are capable of playing beautiful basketball, so this should be a nice way for you to cap off your holiday evening. As always, we have you covered with betting predictions, picks and analysis for this one!

Here is Dimers' free betting preview for Suns vs. Nuggets, plus our picks, score prediction, best odds and player props are featured in this article.

Suns vs. Nuggets Betting Preview

The Suns and Nuggets are two teams that are fighting for the top spot in the Western Conference this year, so it's an absolute treat that we'll get to watch them compete in the final game of the Christmas Day slate. It is, however, Denver that is entering this game in better shape. While Michael Porter Jr. is back for the Nuggets, the Suns remain without Cam Johnson and Jae Crowder (who Phoenix is still trying to trade). Fortunately, Phoenix will be getting Devin Booker back in this one. But it remains to be seen how much he'll play, as his most recent injury was a direct result of playing too many minutes.

With the Suns so beaten up, this would seemingly be a great opportunity for the Nuggets to earn a win over a team that swept them in the postseason two years ago. Deandre Ayton has actually done a nice job of defending Nikola Jokic in the past, but Ayton's intensity isn't always there. And it just wouldn't be surprising if Jokic were to really dominate this game. Also, the Chris Paul we saw against Denver two years ago was a lot better than the version of the Point God we're seeing in the 2022-23 season. That will make it hard on the Suns to win this thing.

Phoenix has also been absolutely miserable on the road this season, and playing at Ball Arena isn't exactly easy. This is just a very tough spot for the Suns, who desperately need to make a trade in order to shake things up a little bit.
