Premier League Soccer Picks and Predictions for Week 12
We have a new league leader at the top of the English Premier League table, and things have well and truly heated up. With another week of soccer ahead of us, our EPL soccer expert is ready to go with his English Premier League soccer picks for Week 12.
Before we dive in, you should know that it definitely pays to have more than one funded sportsbook account and to use multiple sports betting sites when betting on sports, whether it be the best parlay bets available today, some EPL futures, or anything else!
Some weeks, when I look ahead and think I’ll be loaded with work, I try to write up my intros on Sunday. This was one such week, but I decided it might be advisable to wait for Spurs-Chelsea to play on Monday so I held off. Boy, was that the right call (sadly…).
Complaining about VAR, especially when you’re on the losing end of it, always feels like sour grapes. But, while I can admit that I’m biased in how the game went and how some decisions were made, I don't think ANYONE would argue the game was better off for having VAR. What started out as a blistering match turned into a mix of soccer and players modeling as they waited for the game to restart. And, on top of the red cards Spurs now have to deal with, the stoppages almost certainly led to Van de Ven’s injury as well.
It always felt like once the genie was let out of the bottle on letting replay into soccer it was going to be impossible to reign in. And, in my opinion, its purpose has been completely bastardized. VAR is perfect for definitive decisions like offsides or when someone punches a player in the face, but slowing down every tackle is a dangerous game to play, and I mean that only in the figurative sense. Alas, we seem to be stuck with it no matter how many times VAR fucks things up, and I just have to hope Spurs are on the right side next time (Liverpool might have something to say there).
Lecture over, let’s gamble.
Time to dive back in with Dimers.com and our EPL plays of the week.

Premier League Best Bets - Week 12
Wolves vs. Tottenham: Saturday November 11, 7:30 AM EST
Betting on a Spurs match after everything that just happened? You’re damn right I am, and I’m backing Tottenham (in a sense). If Monday’s match taught us anything, it’s that Ange is absolutely never ever ever going to play defensive soccer, and with a defense that’s now going to be trotting out spare parts like Eric Dier, this team is going to need to be even more reliant on aggression and scoring to win.
So, with that in mind, we head towards our old reliable team total, and over 1.5 sits at a fairly nice -110 for a team still sporting offensive power and who no longer have the option to waste space with Richarlison. Wolves just gave up multiple goals to fucking Sheffield last weekend, I think Spurs can hit them for the same.
The Bot, as it is wont to do, has pivoted to the ML. The added payout at +120 is certainly enticing, and I’m glad to see the Bot is getting into my good graces with a bet on by beloved Spurs. As I said, I prefer the TT because of the defensive concerns (meaning I don't value a 1-0 win much), but if you’re feeling a bit riskier you can go with the money line.
⛏️ Sam’s Pick: Spurs Team Total Over 1.5 Goals (-110) - 1.5U
🤖 Dimers' Model: Spurs ML (+120)

Chelsea vs. Manchester City: Sunday November 12, 11:30 AM EST
And now on to Spurs counterpart from that horrendous bloodbath of a game. City have regained the top spot in the table and beat the ever loving piss of a helpless Swiss side in the midweek, so things seem to be going fairly well for Pep in his plan for world domination or whatever it is he’s going for. But, while I dont see a lot of scenarios where City walk away with anything but 3 points, I’m going with Both Teams To Score at -134 because Chelsea seem to have gotten their shit together offensively and Monday’s match will boost their confidence if nothing else.
The Bot went the safer route this time, and grabbed City ML at -130. In all honesty that may be the more reasonable pick, but City have not looked like quite the same side to me without KDB and the performances against Wolves and Arsenal have shaken my resolve in them a bit. Or maybe I’m just praying City dont win for my own personal benefit, I’ll be honest in my bias there (not that I want to see Chelsea succeed, now that I think of it). 2-1 City seems about right for this match, pick your poison on the wager.
⛏️ Sam’s Pick: BTTS (-134) - 1.34U
🤖 Dimers' Model: Manchester City ML (-130)
