PGA TOUR: Rocket Mortgage Classic Matchups Parlay 2023

An absolutely brutal beat sunk our +2235 H2H parlay last weekend, as Rory McIlroy missed our final leg by a single stroke as he fell to Patrick Cantlay on Day 4. The Round Robin proved profitable, so we still walked away winners, but we were *this* close to cashing in big again. Golf fans all over the country are looking to take in the action and win a bet (or two) this weekend, so we have again used our powerful head-to-head matchups tool to build a matchups parlay at odds of +2000. This golf parlay has been built thanks to our predictive analytics model and the odds on offer at DraftKings Sportsbook.

MORE: Our Best Bets for the Rocket Mortgage Classic

After last week's elevated event, the Rocket Mortage Classic brings things down a notch, with several notable absences, including nine of the top ten ranked golfers in the world.

DimersBOT's favorites to win this week include Rickie Fowler, Collin Morikawa and Tony Finau, whilst the below bets feature five names for you to track this week in the head-to-head market. Be sure to check back for our Best Bets article which will highlight the outright winners and placement wagers you should be taking a flier on.

Rocket Mortgage Classic Matchups Parlay for 2023

Our parlay for the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic has landed, with five legs totaling odds of +2000 with DraftKings. We also recommend placing a round-robin bet on this, giving you a nice payout if only three or four of the legs end up winning.

Leg 1: Rickie Fowler (-140)

Why not start out and back the same guy who happens to be our best bet of the weekend? DraftKings pits tournament favorite Rickie Fowler against Max Homa in this head-to-head market.

After simulating the Rocket Mortgage Classic 10,000 times, our model is favoring Fowler to perform better, with his win probability being 55.7%. Homa on the other hand, has just a 29.5% chance of winning this matchup, whilst the tie is at 4.7%.

Fowler has topped Homa easily in their last three shared events and is in top form, while Homa has four missed cuts and two finishes outside the Top 40 since April.

Leg 2: Tony Finau (-120)

Next up is a golfer looking to right the ship, Tony Finau, with DimersBOT taking this year's Mexico Open winner to beat Sungjae Im.

While neither golfer has looked in great shape since mid-April, Tony Finay has at least placed in every event since his win at the Mexico Open, save for one MC. Im, meanwhile, has failed to make the cut three times since his string of Top-10 finishes in the spring.

As for this week, our model projects Finau with a 51.5% chance of beating Im, who has a probability of 43.2%. The tie has a 5.2% chance of occurring.

Leg 3: Collin Morikawa (-120)

Let's back another one of DimersBOT's best bets this weekend as Collin Morikawa gets matched up against Justin Thomas.

At a 57.5% probability, Morikawa is the far more likely winner of this head-to-head, despite both players being in similar form, with JT listed at just 37.5% and the tie at a 5.1% chance of happening.

This is another case of neither golfer being in their best form as they both have their share of MCs. Thomas has struggled to crack the Top 20 a little more than Morikawa, and for all of his struggles, Morikawa's worst placement is a T31 while JT has a T60 and T65 to his name this year.

Leg 4: Beau Hossler (-110)

Pitting two players with the same H2H odds against each other, we're backing Beau Hossler to beat Brandon Wu.

Our predictive analytics model has Hossler as a 48.4% chance of winning this matchup, with Wu a slim margin behind at 45.1% and the tie at 6.5%.

Both Hossler and Wu have played eight events in between their shared missed cuts at the Valspar Championship in March and the Travelers Championship this past weekend and each has finished as high as 3rd in an event. The difference? Wu has another three missed cuts in that timeframe, while Hossler had none until Travelers. We don't need Beau to be great, just have longevity, which he has proved more capable of.

Leg 5: Sepp Straka (-110)

The fifth leg of this week's PGA parlay is for Sepp Straka to beat Stephan Jaeger in another battle of evenly-priced golfers.

Our model likes Straka to edge out Jaeger, despite having a bit of a rocky stretch. Jaeger has just a pair of missed cuts to his name this year compared to twice as many for Straka, but Sepp has shown his ability to hang with the best, evidenced by his T7 at the PGA Championship. Straka has also beaten Jaeger straight up in their last four shared events.

Our model gives Straka the advantage at a 48.5% probability compared to Jaeger's 45.9%, with the tie at 5.6%.
