PGA TOUR Golf Bets: Charles Schwab Challenge Head to Head Picks and Parlay
After a wild PGA Championship, the TOUR heads to Texas for the Charles Schwab Challenge, featuring some of our top-ranked golfers and a whole lot of "those guys." We're once again putting our Head-to-Head Predictor Tool to the test with a +568 matchups parlay for the weekend action.
Betting on winners and who will finish in the Top 5, 10 and 20 markets gets all the attention around golf tournaments, but betting on head-to-head matchups can be an equally lucrative and entertaining experience for golf bettors. For our model's best picks in those markets, check out our full Charles Schwab Challenge Predictions, now exclusively part of Dimers Pro.
We have an in-house tool designed for pitting golfers against one another and simulating the results. We can see who will finish higher in their head-to-head matchup, either after Round 1 or over the course of the entire tournament.
With a handy "Fair Odds" to "Percentages" toggle, you can always check to see if there's value in any given matchup.

Charles Schwab Challenge 2024 Golf Betting Preview
Our best bets are here to help with outright winner plays, as well as recommended Top-5, Top-10 and Top-20 picks. We're heading to Colonial Country Club in Forth Worth, Texas for the Charles Schwab Challenge and a $9.1M purse on the line.
It's not easy to find value in this event with so many golfers hovering around a similar win probability but a little diligence and mix-and-matching, and we've found our three guys.
Make sure you visit Dimers all golf season long, where we'll be feeding you our trusted PGA best bets on a weekly basis.
These PGA predictions are sourced from our powerful predictive analytics model that has returned an 80-1 winner with Wyndham Clark at Pebble Beach in 2024, cashed our +627 parlay at The Masters, and called a Scottie Scheffler comeback win at +1000.
+568 Head-to-Head Charles Schwab Challenge Parlay on DraftKings
We've cashed a couple of these in the past few weeks and we're looking to do it again!
To make this parlay, we'll be using the Head-to-Head matchups available at DraftKings as they have our preferred options available. We'll enter both golfers into our H2H Predictor, select the Tournament-long option, and see which golfer gets the advantage for the weekend.
MORE: Dimers' In-House Golf Rankings
MATCHUP | WIN % | ODDS |
---|---|---|
Denny McCarthy to beat Min Woo Lee | 62.4% | -110 |
Sepp Straka to beat Thomas Detry | 58.8% | -120 |
Akshay Bhatia to beat Austin Eckroat | 58.8% | -110 |
Leg 1: Denny McCarthy to beat Min Woo Lee (-110)
We'll start off with one of our darkhorse winners of the weekend at +5000, though here we just need him to edge out Min Woo Lee over the course of the tournament. McCarthy has crazy value as a winner pick which we've highlighted, and he has an edge in this head-to-head showdown as well.
At 62.4%, we should be getting fair odds of -166 for McCarthy to win, but instead, we see -120 for an edge of nearly 7%. To further illustrate this value, our fair odds for Min Woo Lee would be +196, but the books have this as a toss-up at -110. No-brainer which side has the better price.
Leg 2: Sepp Straka to beat Thomas Detry (-120)
Our next leg focuses on Sepp Straka to beat his opponent, Thomas Detry. Straka is coming off a missed cut but prior to that, finished T16, T5 and T8 in three straight solo events after being cut four times in his first 8 outings of the year.Detry enters in similar form, cut in three of his first six events while netting a T4 last week and a T2 back in March. Straka will have to beat him in the long game as his putting is notably below Detry's current SG in the category.
Fair odds for Straka would be -143 while we make Detry a play at +170, whereas he is just +100 on the book. Straka's combined 63% chance of a win or tie makes him the clear play on value alone.

Leg 3: Akshay Bhatia to beat Austin Eckroat (-110)
We close out with one of golf's brightest and most talented upcoming stars in the making, Akshay Bhatia to beat fellow American Austin Eckroat. Bhatia has played in 14 events this year. When he doesn't miss the cut, he's got just two finishes worse than T18. His total stroked gained ranks 8th among all golfers. Eckroat has managed three such finishes in solo events, with a win back in March at the Cognizant Classic.
Our model says there's value in Bhatia out to -143 given his 58.8% probability, while Eckroat should be about +170. However on DraftKings, this is a toss up with both golfers priced at -110.

Can I bet on golf with Dimers?
No. There’s no golf bet slip on our site because we don’t take any golf bets ourselves. We’re the friend who gives you the best golf picks and predictions then tells you where and how to get the best golf sign up offers at the sportsbooks, so you can throw your golf bets down. That’s it!
When you click on one of our buttons or links in our golf content, you’re whisked away to DraftKings, BetMGM, FanDuel, or one of the many other sportsbooks we work with.
Once you get there, you can join up to score a welcome bonus (up to $200!), and then get those golf bets down for yourself, but you’re betting on the golf with them, not us. Since you are never betting anything directly with us, we don’t have access to your personal information or sensitive financial info like credit card numbers.
It also means that despite our best efforts to confirm that a sports betting site still has that awesome golf sign up offer available, the best ones often disappear just as quickly as they appeared. We always take these offers down once we know they’re no longer available. We take our responsibility to provide up to date golf information very seriously.
Finally, Responsible Gambling is extremely important to us, so please remember that golf betting should be seen as a form of entertainment - adding to your enjoyment while watching from the course of the couch - not a side hustle or second income stream.
