PGA Golf Best Bets: Our Valspar Championship Winner Picks and Predictions
THE PLAYERS delivered a crushing blow to DimersBOT's best outright picks last weekend. Our +5000 Wyndham Clark and +2200 Xander Schauffele were in lock-step for the lead on Day 4. And then, Scottie learned how to putt.
Scottie Scheffler stole the show and avoided a playoff with Clark who lipped out a 20-footer on 18 to settle for a T2. Onward and upward, and at least Scottie can't beat us this week.
Our predictive analytics model has run 1000s of simulations for the Valspar Championship, identifying value bets in the winner and placement markets. We're heading to Palm Harbor in Florida with an $8.4 million purseup for grabs.

2024 Valspar Championship Best Bets
Xander Schauffele to Win (+800on BetMGM)
We are going right back to the well with the top-ranked golfer in this tournament, Xander Schauffele. As mentioned up above, we had Xander pegged as a +2200 winner at THE PLAYERS and he nearly did so, but it wasn't meant to be, settling for a T2.
He's done a lot of settling this year, with five finished of T10 or better, with three inside a T5. He's third in Stroked Gained overall and 8th off the tee, which will be key in these tight windows at Copperhead. He's our model's favorite to win at a 16.5% probability, which his +800 odds implying just 11.1%
Placement Value: Schauffele gets an edge in his odds to finish Top 5 (+180) and top 10 (-105) as well.
Brian Harman to Win (+2200 on FanDuel)
Next up is a guy who narrowly stole victory from everyone at THE PLAYERS, and that's Brian Harman, who happens to be DimersBOT's 13th-ranked golfer and third-highest in this field.
Harman has flirted with victory a few times this season; his recent T2 as well as starting the year with a T5 at The Sentry. He's got two T20 finishes as well and with many of the top golfers out this week, his path to victory is clear.
At 5.4% to win, his probability isn't going to blow the doors off, but it means he should be closer to +1700 according to our model, giving us +500 in value.
Andrew Putnam to Win (+8000 on BetMGM)
Now for a longshot with a big-time edge. DimersBOT nailed one +8000 winner this year, so why not another?
Andrew Putnam draws a 2.3% probability to win the Valspar Championship. While that sounds small, and it is, it's just a half percent less than our fifth-most likely winner, Justin Thomas at 2.8%. Yet Thomas is priced at just +1400, while you can get Putnam at +8000. We say Putnam shouldn't be any longer than +4100, meaning we get nearly double the odds.
He's got a T8 and a T10 this year and you can do much worse on a dart throw play.
Bud Cauley Top 20 (+500 on DraftKings)
Outside of our winner picks, we have a longer plus-money odds play in the Top 20 market.
It's Bud Cauley, whose 22.6% probability to grab a Top-20 or better from our model says he should be closer to +350. He's played in just two events this year, finished 65 at the WM Phoenix Open and T21 at the Cognizant Classic two weeks ago.
These aren't the only value plays on the board, but our selected ones based on our model's recommendations. With Dimers Pro, you can check out our full predictions for the Valspar Championship to find your favorite plays, with plenty more edges to be found!

Can I bet on golf with Dimers?
No. There’s no golf bet slip on our site because we don’t take any golf bets ourselves. We’re the friend who gives you the best golf picks and predictions then tells you where and how to get the best golf sign up offers at the sportsbooks, so you can throw your golf bets down. That’s it!
When you click on one of our buttons or links in our golf content, you’re whisked away to DraftKings, BetMGM, FanDuel, or one of the many other sportsbooks we work with.
Once you get there, you can join up to score a welcome bonus (up to $200!), and then get those golf bets down for yourself, but you’re betting on the golf with them, not us. Since you are never betting anything directly with us, we don’t have access to your personal information or sensitive financial info like credit card numbers.
It also means that despite our best efforts to confirm that a sports betting site still has that awesome golf sign up offer available, the best ones often disappear just as quickly as they appeared. We always take these offers down once we know they’re no longer available. We take our responsibility to provide up to date golf information very seriously.
Finally, Responsible Gambling is extremely important to us, so please remember that golf betting should be seen as a form of entertainment - adding to your enjoyment while watching from the course of the couch - not a side hustle or second income stream.
If Dimers doesn't take golf bets, then how do you make money?
Whenever you join a sportsbook mentioned in our golf picks and predictions across the website, or use one of our promo codes, we get a small commission for referring you. Don’t worry, though, this doesn’t affect you in any way at all. That’s a fee the sportsbook pays us as a thank-you for sending another golf bettor their way.
We’re always happy to help our readers troubleshoot any problems. Start with our About Us or Contact Us and if that doesn’t work for you, then you can always send us an email at contact@dimers.com. We’ll do our best to help you figure it out.
