Packers vs. Bills Odds and Betting Lines

Why The Packers Will Cover The Spread

Green Bay punted five times over the first three quarters of last week’s loss in Washington and can ill-afford to do the same in Buffalo. It’s going to take a great deal of success on third down from Rodgers and his cohorts to take pressure off a defense that’ll be hard-pressed to stop Allen and crew.

The Packers are surprisingly No. 1 in the league in pass defense, allowing 183 yards per game, so they certainly have that going for them. But this isn’t Zach Wilson, Daniel Jones or Taylor Heinicke on the other side this week.

Why The Bills Will Cover The Spread

This game had the look of one of the premier Sunday night matchups of the season when the schedule was released in May. But today, on paper and on the field, it has blowout potential.

Green Bay’s offense was expected to undergo a metamorphosis in the wake of Davante Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling departures, but maybe not to this extent. The unit has been in a tailspin since an OT victory over New England to begin October, while the Bills can strike quick and keep their foot on the gas.

Why The Over Will Hit

Buffalo isn’t incapable of reaching this number on its own considering how dominant the offense has looked in two home games so far.

The Bills called off the dogs early in Weeks 2 and 5 against Tennessee and Pittsburgh, respectively, when they scored 41 and 38. Overall, they boast the top-ranked offense in the league at 440-plus yards per game, as well as the best passing offense (331.3 yards per game)

Allen has thrown for 741 yards and eight touchdowns in two home games.

Why The Under Will Hit

Buffalo’s defense doesn’t get anywhere near the same ink as Allen, Stefon Diggs, Gabe Davis etc., but it’s ranked just the same — No. 1 in the NFL.

The Bills are yielding only 281.5 yards per game and also boast the top run defense in football, giving up a mere 76.2 yards per game on the ground. Opponents are averaging 13.5 points.

In three road games, Green Bay’s offense has averaged 14 points per game.

Packers vs. Bills Prediction

Lean: Bills -11

The argument could be made the Packers have played just one complete game all season — in Week 2 against Chicago. While the spread may appear hefty, this has blowout written all over it.
