Super Bowl LVII: Chiefs vs. Eagles - Best Bets To Win MVP
Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs
We detailed this in our matchup preview for the game, but the reality of this Super Bowl is that the Chiefs will need a massive performance from Mahomes in order to win. With that in mind, it seems very unlikely that Kansas City will win this game without the superstar winning the MVP award.
The last time Mahomes won the Super Bowl, he threw for 286 yards with two touchdowns, while also adding 29 yards and a touchdown on the ground. That was against a very good San Francisco 49ers defense, and we just wouldn't be surprised if Mahomes tops that performance here.
Mahomes showed the world how special he is by beating the Cincinnati Bengals on one leg last game, and he has now had some time to recover. So, if you want to bet the Chiefs to win this game, you might want to just bet Mahomes to win this award. The best price you're getting on Kansas City to win outright is +107.

Jalen Hurts, Philadelphia Eagles
This is a similar bet to the one we just wrote, but the Eagles are currently favored in this meeting with the Chiefs. That means you either need to accept some juice or lay a few points in order to back Philadelphia. However, you can also just hope that Hurts ends up being the player that wins the MVP award, as that pays out at plus-money odds. And if the Eagles do win this one, it'll likely mean that Hurts found his game — which wasn't there in a win over the San Francisco 49ers last game.
Hurts is projected to total 293 yards for the Eagles, according to our predictive analytics model. Our artificial intelligence also gives him a 60% chance of rushing for a touchdown. If the star quarterback reaches those marks, he'd likely take home this trophy in a win.
Harrison Butker, Kansas City Chiefs
Butker is a player that could be worth a flier in this game. His odds are absolutely preposterous at +25000, yet he'd have a slight chance to steal this award if it ends up being a low-scoring game. Philadelphia has a tremendous defense, so Kansas City could find itself settling for field goals quite a bit in this one. If that's the case, you'll want to be holding a ticket on Butker.
Butker is a kicker that has proven to have ice in his veins, so he wouldn't be too afraid of the moment if this game comes down to a field goal. It also doesn't hurt that the perfect conditions in Arizona will make for a kicker-friendly environment.
Haason Reddick, Philadelphia Eagles
Another player worth considering on the Eagles would be Reddick, who would also pay out at some great odds. Everybody that has played the Eagles in this game knows that there's a chance Philadelphia just completely overwhelms Kansas City in the trenches. That would create an opportunity for a player like Reddick to win the award, as he can make his presence felt by picking up a big sack or two on Mahomes.
The only thing working against a player like Reddick is that a defensive player hasn't won the award since Von Miller did it back in 2016. But Miller did so by making the announcers say his name whenever the Denver Broncos were on defense. Reddick can have that same impact when he's on his game.
