MORE: Cincinnati Bengals vs. Los Angeles Chargers Full Game Betting Preview
Leg 1: J.K. Dobbins 70+ Rushing Yards (+154)
Our first leg is a plus-money alternate line. Not because we're feeling adventurous (that'd be the next legs), but because our model is projecting Chargers RB J.K. Dobbins to obliterate his rushing line of 56.5.
Dobbins is having a resurgent year, after multiple torn ACLs with the Ravens have cost him considerable playing time. He's up to 670 rushing yards and has surpassed his career-high in carries just 9 games in.
Dobbins has cleared his rushing line in 5 games. Out of the four he went under, he faced two Top 5 rushing defenses(Kansas City, Pittsburgh) and another in the top third of the NFL (Tennessee). The Bengals are currently ranked 17th in the NFL, allowing 127.3 rushing yards per game. In the five games he's cleared his line, he put up 85+ in four of them, and we're projecting him for 89 rushing yards on Sunday night.
Leg 2: Ja'Marr Chase Anytime TD (+105)
We're spicing it up one leg earlier than usual, as we're going with not one, but two TD props in this week's parlay.
First up is Ja'Marr Chase, who's coming off the best performance by a WR this year, an 11-catch, 264-yard performance with a trio of touchdowns. He went for 6/118/2 and 10/193/2 earlier this year, too. Now, this Chargers defense is better than the Ravens and Commanders who he torched, but he's got touchdowns in three other games this year and is pacing the entire league in receptions, yards and touchdowns.
He gets a 40.3% probability to score, third-highest in this game behind the running backs. Joe Burrow has passed for 9 touchdowns in the past two weeks and the Bengals need this win, so expect their best player to be busy.
Leg 3: Ladd McConkey Anytime TD (+195)
We close it out with the Chargers rookie WR out of Georgia as we're looking at him to also get in the endzone. The Chargers have a piecemeal WR corps, but McConkey is as close to a No. 1 as they've got, with nearly double the targets (54) of their next wide receiver (Quentin Johnston, 29) and 150 receiving yards more than anyone on the team.
He's got four touchdowns this year, converting six red zone targets into three scores and gets a Bengals secondary allowing nearly two passing touchdowns per game.
Our model projects McConkey with a 34.6% TD probability, so we're getting fair odds at +195.
