NFL Honors 2020 - Preview and Predictions for Every Major Award
Footballβs night of nights is just around the corner, with the NFL Honors set to be held in Tampa on Super Bowl eve. After what has been a weird and wacky year off the field, many of footballβs big names still shone, with vet Aaron Rodgers the favorite to take the MVP award.
Whether you've already put your bets down in the pre-season or youβre looking for some value to increase the bank roll for Super Bowl Sunday, weβve gone through the top chances for each award, with the betting favorite, a potential value pick and a dark horse.

π NFL MVP
The Favorite
Aaron Rodgers (-2000)
A-Rod may have lost the NFC battle to Tom Brady, but luckily for him that result will have no impact on the MVP trophy. Rodgers only overtook Patrick Mahomes as the betting favorite around Week 16 and with the Chiefs QB sitting Week 17, the award looks very much like it's Rodgers' to lose.
Value Bet
Josh Allen (+900)
Despite Mahomes being favorite for a lot of the season, the best value bet outside of Rodgers has to be Josh Allen. Allen took a humongous leap this season, leading the Bills to a 13-3 regular season record. If voters are looking for someone new to vote for, Allen will be their man.
Dark Horse
Derrick Henry (+5000)
If you feel like this could be the year we get a non-QB winner, then Derrick Henry is the guy to bet on! Henry is the best RB in the league, clocking up over 2,000 rushing yards for the second straight season. This could be worth some pizza money, but we wouldn't recommend putting too much on him.
π NFL DPOY
The Favorite
TJ Watt (-180)
The Steelers LB led the league in sacks this season (15), cementing himself as the favorite to win the Defensive Player of the Year award. The Steelers also allowed the third least yards per game, which Watt played a major role in!
Value Bet
Aaron Donald (+220)
We pushed for Aaron Donald as an MVP candidate for a lot of this season, and although that now seems out of reach, we can still bet him for Defensive Player of the Year. The 2017 & 2018 winner, Donald is the best defensive player in the league and will push Watt in voting.
Dark Horse
Myles Garrett
The leader of the Browns' defense, Myles Garrett makes the most sense if you're looking for some more juicy odds on Honors night. His head coach, Kevin Stefanski, took the team to an 11-5 season, and Garrett's play and leadership went a long way to securing that record.
π NFL Offensive Rookie
The Favorite
Justin Herbert
As soon as Joe Burrow's season ended, Justin Herbert became a lock to win this award. You could look at Justin Jefferson or Jonathan Taylor, but realistically this award is heading to LA with Herb.

π NFL Defensive Rookie
The Favorite
Chase Young
Chase has one of the most exciting highlight reels a defensive player can have and will feature at the NFL Honors nights for a long time yet. At -375 odds, the award looks very much like it will be his, with DPOY in his sights from 2021 onwards!
Value Bet
Antoine Winfield Jr
Winfield has been one of the most important players for the Bucs as they made their Super Bowl run, with the revamped defensive unit getting it done most of the season. He's the best chance to beat Young to the award and could be worth a small wager.
Dark Horse
Patrick Queen
It's always hard for a rookie Linebacker to get going in the League, but Queen has made a huge go of it. He'll be a star for long time and is the best dark horse play you could make for this award.
