NFL Playoffs: Divisional Round Best Bets For Saturday

Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Kansas City Chiefs - 4:30PM (ET)

Our DimersBOT only has the Jaguars losing this game by eight points, so our model likes Jacksonville's chances of covering in this game. And the reality in this one is that the Jaguars just might have the better head coach in this matchup. That might sound like a bit of a hot take, but both of these coaches have won Super Bowls. However, Pederson has proven to be the better in-game decision maker between the two, even if Andy Reid is the better pre-game schemer. That's important in a game with a huge spread.

The Jaguars also just have an explosive offense, and Trevor Lawrence and Co. should be able to move the ball on a mediocre Chiefs defense. That should also give Jacksonville a great shot at covering this hefty spread, even if it's just in a backdoor situation.

We should also note that Jacksonville doesn't rack up many penalties. And over the last three seasons, the Chiefs are just 2-10 against the spread when facing teams that average 42.0 or fewer penalty yards per game. Kansas City is also just 2-10 ATS against AFC opponents this year. We like this one to be closer than expected, which would be a nice surprise for those that thought this would be a blowout.

PICK: Jaguars +8.5 (-110 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles - 8:15PM (ET)

BET 1:

The Giants are coming off an impressive win over the Minnesota Vikings last week, but that was a team that was ripe for a letdown. The Vikings won a lot of close games during the regular season, which generally means they got lucky rather often. Still, the Giants handled their business, with Daniel Jones playing a great game in the process. But New York has another thing coming in a meeting with an elite Philadelphia squad.

Whereas the Giants are 10th in the league in offensive DVOA this year, the Eagles are up at third. Philadelphia also has a massive edge on defense, as the Eagles are sixth in the league in defensive DVOA and the Giants are all the way down at 29th. That second statistic is a scary one in a matchup like this, as the Eagles' elite offense should be able to light up the Giants.

With this being a game in which Philadelphia is much better on both sides of the ball, we just don't see a path towards New York covering. Jalen Hurts will simply make too many big plays, and the defense should come up big. The latter is especially likely because of Philadelphia's elite fanbase.

PICK: Eagles -8 (-110 at DraftKings Sportsbook)

BET 2:

With the Eagles being so good offensively and now getting a crack at a miserable defense, this seems like a game in which Philadelphia can light up the scoreboard. If the home team does end up doing that, it's hard to imagine this game going Under the total. We're looking at a situation in which the Eagles might just put up at least 30 points on their own, and the Giants have what it takes to take it home for Over bettors from there.

Jones has become a much better quarterback in the last year, and his ability to use his legs will help New York put together a few successful drives — especially if the Giants fall behind early and need to turn to a pass-heavy approach. That should make this a pretty high-scoring game in the end.

Keep in mind that these teams did combine to score 70 points in their first meeting of the year.

PICK: Over 48 (-110 at DraftKings Sportsbook)
