NFL 2021 - Week 5 Betting Trends: PATs all over the slate
Welcome to our weekly article, where we highlight some of the top betting trends identified across the NFL in Week 5 of the 2021 season.
Not many underdogs secured wins this week, but there was plently of exciting action with field goals and PATs taking center stage, whilst Dallas continued to rewards its backers.
But in addition to sitting on the couch and watching about 20 hours of football, this weekend also saw us continuing our love of betting on the NFL, with a couple of trends in particular standing out.

Missed PATs all over the place
Although none of the NFL record 13 missed PATs this week directly impacted any closing lines, there was a couple of made FGs that saw tickets cash!
Most notably, Mason Crosby's game winner against the Bengals and Greg Joseph's against the Lions.
Crosby (who came into the week with 27 straight made FGs) missed three clutch field goals and an extra point on Sunday before eventually making the game-winner, which also got Packers' spread bettors a win, with line for the game closing at 2.5

Cowboys bettors cash in AGAIN
Dallas have been hot to start 2021, with four wins and tight loss to the Buccaneers to show for it. But as well as that impressive win-loss record, the Cowboys are also the only team left in the league to have covered in every game this season.
