Thursday Night Football Parlay Analysis

New York Jets vs. Cleveland Browns 8:15PM ET

LEG 1: Jerome Ford (CLE) Over 44.5 Rushing Yards (-110)

It's all Browns in tonight's parlay and we're starting it off with the ground game. The Browns have used a patchwork backfield this season after losing Nick Chubb way back in Week 2. It hasn't been a powerhouse, but it's been effective and given them the balance they need as they operate with Jerome Ford and Kareem Hunt. Ford has been the 1A in the backfield, seeing about a 20% greater snap share than Hunt. He's seen double-digit carries in all but five games this season and he does get some passing game work, with five-plus targets in four of his last six games, though we're after the rushing volume.

The Jets have a strong passing defense but not so much on the ground. Teams run against the Jets more than nearly every other team in the league and they suffer for it, allowing 126.2 rushing yards per game. DimersBOT actually projects both Ford and Hunt to clear this mark in a ground-and-pound game but we're backing the more productive of the two.

LEG 2: David Njoku (CLE) Under 51.5 Receiving Yards (-110)

This leg is a little bit reliant on Amari Cooper playing for the Browns tonight, as if he sits, Njoku could easily see a small uptick in targets. Cooper is hopeful to play so we're operating under that assumption, but keep that in mind as you place this parlay or monitor the news. Tight end David Njoku gets a 42-yard projection from DimersBOT tonight, along with a 70.5% probability of going under his line of 51.5 yards. This is actually one of the highest edges of any prop according to our model tonight and presents value on its own.

Njoku has been a pivotal part of this Browns offense as of late. He's a freak athlete who can dominate at the catch and is incredibly tough to bring down. He's coming off one of his lower outputs in weeks but that's not why DimersBOT is eyeing his under. The Jets have a top-seven defense against tight ends, averaging 44.7 yards to the position per game. Only one tight end has surpassed this mark against the Jets all year - Travis Kelce with 60 yards. As previously mentioned, the Browns would be wise to wear down the Jets against their soft run defense and may not need Njoku for the big play.

LEG 3: Kareem Hunt (CLE) Anytime TD Scorer (+185)

Hunt's role is smaller than Ford's and he's plodded to just 46 rushing yards over the past three weeks, but he gets the goal line touches, seeing twice as many attempts (30) inside the 20-yard line than Ford (15). You can get better value in the Jets to score but it's tough to back a team quarterbacked by Trevor Siemian. Hunt has a 27.1% probability to score in this game compared to Ford's 31.0% according to DimersBOT, but putting Hunt in the parlay takes the odds up to +749 while Ford only brings it to +580, despite him having longer odds at +200.
