New York Giants 2022 Win Total Prediction, Computer Picks and Super Bowl Odds

The 2022 NFL season is firmly on the horizon and over the coming weeks the Dimers crew will break down the chances of each and every team, all vying for Super Bowl 57 glory in Glendale, Arizona come February.

Let's take a look at the key factors to consider when betting on the New York Giants in 2022.

The Over/Under win total of 7.5 is fairly high for a New York Giants team that won only four games last season. Head coach Brian Daboll and general manager Joe Schoen replace Joe Judge and Dave Gettleman, respectively. Both men know this is going to be a process that takes time, but the Giants have a manageable schedule early in the year.

New York Giants Win Total Prediction, Computers Picks and Super Bowl Odds

New York Giants

  • 2021 Record: 4-13, 4th in NFC East (Missed Playoffs)
  • 2021 ATS:  6-11
  • Key off-season losses: James Bradberry CB, Jabrill Peppers S, Will Hernandez OG and Logan Ryan S
  • Key off-season additions: Wan'Dale Robinson WR, Tyrod Taylor QB, Mark Glowinski OL, Kayvon Thibodeaux DE and Evan Neal OL

New York Giants Win Total - 7

Daniel Jones will be the starting quarterback, but is he the long-term answer? Tyrod Taylor is the backup quarterback and he's good enough to start games if the Giants decide to make a change.

Saquon Barkley rushed for 593 yards last season and had 263 yards receiving last season. He needs to be much better in 2022, as he had only two rushing and receiving touchdowns last season. But being that he is now fully healthy, a big rebound is certainly in the cards.

Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney didn’t eclipse 600 yards receiving last year and didn’t score a touchdown. They should reach the end zone and be more productive this season. Keep an eye on rookie Wan’Dale Robinson, who is a dynamic playmaker all over the field.

The questions will be the offensive line and the pass rush. This team just doesn't appear to be far enough along in those areas to consistently win games.

DimersBOT: In our model's 10,000 simulations of the upcoming NFL season, the Giants averaged 6.69 wins per year. We'd strongly suggest putting a little timber on the Under here. New York's offense should look a lot more structured this season, but the wins won't come until quarterback and offensive line play improve.

New York Giants X-Factor - Daniel Jones, QB

Jones is entering his fourth season with the Giants and the team declined his fifth-year option. If Jones does not perform well this season, Schoen and Daboll will look to mold their own quarterback for the future in the 2023 NFL Draft.

Jones completed 64.3 percent of his passes for 2,428 yards, 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions last season. He also rushed for 298 yards on 62 carries and two touchdowns.

New York Giants Super Bowl 57 Chances

The Giants are a long way away from being competent once again. New York is looking to win over its fanbase again because it has only had one playoff appearance since the 2011 Super Bowl XLVI victory against the New England Patriots. The Giants are a blue-blood franchise that needs to build its way from the ground up once again.

It all starts with drafting and developing players well. That is where quality coaching comes into play as well.

DimersBOT: We wouldn't suggest touching the Giants to win the Super Bowl for quite a bit.
