Thursday Night Football Parlay Analysis

New Orleans Saints vs. Los Angeles Rams 8:15PM ET

LEG 1: Alvin Kamara (NO) Over 31.5 Receiving Yards (-115)

We'll start it off with one of the highest-floor guys in all of fantasy football (sorry, it's always fantasy in my brain) in saints RB Alvin Kamara. though he may have lost a step since his absolute defense-shredding prime, Kamara is as much of a double-threat as can be, regularly seeing five or more targets out of the backfield and 15+ carries on most weeks. His touches are a certainty on a bit of a hodge-podge offense, with gadget player Taysom Hill the only one who really eats into his workload, and he's more of a goal-line vulture than anyone else, hence us not taking Kamara for a TD tonight.

Kamara has cleared 31.5 yards in all but two games this year, with more games over 50 yards than under 30. He regularly breaks a big-ish play, with a reception of 15 yards or more in 6 of his 9 games in which he's gone over. One big caveat: the Rams allow the fewest receiving yards to backs this season, but if you look through their games, they've not faced many backs, if any, in Kamara's mold. DimersBOT thinks it's close with a 34-yard projection for Kamara, but we'll back him tonight.

LEG 2: Puka Nacua (LAR) Under 5.5 Receptions (-130)

Rookie wide receiver Puka Nacua was easily this season's biggest breakout until CJ Stroud lit it up. Smashing rookie receiving records to start the year, Nacua seized the opportunity with Cooper Kupp sidelined through the first month. The drop-off since then, however, has been significant. It's not a knock on Nacua (say that five times fast), but more a reality of his role in this Rams' offense when it's fully healthy. With Kyremn Williams workhorse-ing his way through games and Cooper Kupp back seeing nearly 30 targets over the past three weeks, it's just how things have shaken out.

Nacua hasn't seen fewer than 7 targets in a game all year but hasn't reeled in more than five catches since Week 7. The Saints don't have many strengths but one they do have is their passing defense, allowing the sixth-fewest passing yards per game and the second-lowest completion percentage. The Rams will likely lean on the run against New Orleans' bottom-10 unit and DimersBOT has identified a 62.2% probability of Nacua going under this mark.

LEG 3: Cooper Kupp (LAR) Anytime TD Scorer (+120)

As always, we close out with our TD scorer pick and tonight, it's that other Rams receiver you may have heard of. A weird season for Cooper Kupp, who came back from offseason injuries with a pair of 100+ yard games before going quiet during a midseason stretch in which he didn't even top 50 yards, only to go nuclear in his last two games with 111 and 115 yards and scoring in three straight. The return of Kyren Williams has forced defenses to let up some of their guard on Kupp who is making the most of it. Kupp has scored against some of the NLF's stingiest defenses like the Browns and Ravens and gets one tonight that while solid, is definitely a tier below those teams. Kupp is Stafford's favorite weapon and he's good for a mega-play TD or red zone grab any week. Our model projects Coop with a 42.2% probability of a score tonight.
