Free NBA Picks For Wednesday March 2, 2022

Pacers vs. Magic, 7:00PM ET

These teams played only a couple of nights ago in a somewhat surprising Orlando blowout win. The Pacers - who are indeed undermanned but still capable considering their starting five - were slow coming out of the gates at halftime but should make the necessary adjustments to make this a much more competitive sequel. In that game, we fell short on taking the over, however, that hasn't deterred us from going back to the well with the above expectation.

Nothing's changed since our research from Monday; the Magic are a bad defensive team, allowing 119.4 points per contest to their opponents over their last five games while the Pacers give up just as many with 118.2 over that span. Monday night was an aberration - the points are going to flow.

Knicks vs. 76ers, 7:30PM ET

I'm an OKC fan and even though it wasn't his fault at all, I've always felt a little salty towards James Harden since he was traded to the Rockets from the Thunder and became the superstar we all knew he was going to be, but even I have to stand up and admit - I've become a total Harden stan in the past week since his move to Philly; and I'm sure that's the same for a lot of other fans.

The Beard will make his home debut in Philadelphia against the Knicks team that he and Embiid dismantled at the Garden on Sunday. There are zero chemistry issues between this star duo and the -560 moneyline price for the Sixers seems right. 

For our pick, we've found some serious value in the Wire to Wire market. We're taking the Sixers to lead at at the end of every quarter in front of the home fans.

Heat vs. Bucks, 8:00PM ET

We may just be witnessing a preview of the Eastern Conference Finals tonight with the fourth and final regular season battle between Miami and Milwaukee. This season series has been odd and fascinating at the same time with each of the three previous games ending in double digit blowouts in favor of Miami 2-1.

The loss of Kyle Lowry is immense for the Heat, but it didn't seem to bother them when they took on and beat another Eastern Conference contender in the Bulls on Monday night. On the Bucks' end, they were able to get a much needed win over the Hornets on the same night, but prior to that game, their form has been scratchy at best, having lost four of their last six games. With Bam Adebayo hitting a nice patch of form to go along with one of the best defenders in the game, PJ Tucker, the Heat are well equipped to deal with the ever-present danger of a Giannis Antetokounmpo standout performance. We're taking Miami and the points.
