Best NBA Player Props Today

Milwaukee Bucks vs. Philadelphia 76ers, 7:30PM ET

The first prop we like in this game is for Tyrese Maxey to finish with at least four assists. Our DimersBOT model projects him for 4.6 in this one, giving bettors a 14.7% edge over the sportsbooks in taking this play. And the fact that it's plus-money only makes it sweeter. Last year, Maxey had 44 games in which he tallied at least four assists — with quite a few in which he was closer to having 10 dimes. Philadelphia is clearly moving a little more towards the pound-the-rock strategy that suited James Harden so well in Houston, but Maxey wasn't involved nearly enough in the season opener. He's an emerging star and we expect Doc Rivers to work to get him the ball a bit more here. 

The second one we like here is for Joel Embiid to record at least two blocks. This isn't something that the big man does all that often, but he is one of the best defenders in the game and he has a chance to make an early case for MVP by showing out in a meeting with Giannis Antetokounmpo. The Greek Freak is going to be attacking the basket rather often in this game, which means Embiid will need to meet him there and protect the rim. Our DimersBOT loves the value on Embiid to to have a multi-block game and it's just hard not to roll with it. This is a big game for Philadelphia and a healthy, locked-in Embiid should have his fingerprints all over it.

Los Angeles Clippers vs. Los Angeles Lakers, 10:00PM ET

Kawhi Leonard is playing in a meaningful basketball game for the first time since tearing his ACL in the midst of a playoff run in the 2020-21 season. He is, however, fully healthy at this point in time, and Paul George acknowledged that Leonard is the top guy on this team when they're both out there together. With that said, we expect Leonard to have the ball in his hands a lot in this one, and he'll be doing so in what is expected to be a high-scoring game. Leonard averaged 4.9 assists per game in his first year with the Clippers, and he followed it up by averaging 5.2 assists per game in his second year. He's a very underrated playmaker for his teammates and we're expecting him to only look better with an improved supporting cast. For that reason, we're backing his Over on assists in this game. The DimersBOT also has him projected for 6.1 in this one, making this one of the stronger edges on the board.
