Free NBA Picks For Thursday March 3, 2022
Grizzlies vs. Celtics, 7:30PM ET
Not too many teams have been able to slow down the Grizzlies - and their star man Ja Morant - over the past couple of weeks, but this might be a true test of their mettle at the TD Garden tonight. Boston will be feeling a little down after losing Jaylen Brown to injury last time out against the Hawks, but it didn't diminish their defensive prowess, holding Atlanta to just 33 points in the second half on Tuesday. With the likes of Marcus Smart of Derrick White on hand to reduce the impact of the rampaging Morant, they have the manpower to keep this one a lost closer than what many people would think.
BET: Celtics +3.5 (-110)
*Editor's note: Since publishing, the line has changed to Celtics -2.5. We still recommend this play even at the revised line.

Heat vs. Nets, 7:30PM ET
KD is back, but what to make of this game as he adjusts to life after James Harden? What we do know is that despite the Nets having some nice shooters on their team like Patty Mills and Seth Curry, it isn't translating to fluid offense - averaging just 108 points per game over their last five, which is below the NBA average. Getting a former MVP in Durant back into the fold may allay some of those fears for Nets fans, but he faces a tricky defensive nemesis in PJ Tucker tonight in Brooklyn's game against Miami. You'll remember that Tucker and Durant had an epic battle in the Eastern Conference Finals last season where KD overall got the better of the matchup, but not without PJ having some moments. We've got the classier Heat outfit rubbing a little more salt into the wounds of the Nets.
BET: Heat -3.5 (-110)

Warriors vs. Mavericks, 8:30PM ET
Klay Thompson returns to the lineup after a two-game absence but it still might not matter for the Warriors who are in a grips of a slide. Golden State's only win in their last five games came against a Portland team is not up to NBA standard. Dallas, on the other hand, are heating up with some strong defense leading to eight wins from their past ten games. We're taking the points.
BET: Mavericks +3 (-110)
🏀 Projected Warriors vs. Mavs box score
🔥 Betting Preview: Warriors vs. Mavs
