Free NBA Picks For Sunday March 13, 2022

Knicks vs. Nets, 1:00PM ET

It felt like the Nets were back on Thursday night as Kyrie, KD and Seth Curry put the Sixers to the sword - but with Kyrie back on the sidelines due to NY vaccine mandates, which Brooklyn will we see in the Sunday matinee? Lately the Knicks have been rolling, winning three of their last four, with the only loss coming at the hands of the rampaging Memphis by only 4 points. Julius Randle has been instrumental during that time with performances reminiscent of last year's Most Improved season. They've also been locking down on defense, letting their opponents score an average of just 103 points over that same span.

Without Kyrie, the Nets aren't the same proposition and we're expecting an arm wrestle against a team that has the form lines to keep things close.

Clippers vs. Pistons, 3:00PM ET

Detroit are coming off two losses in a row to some tough opposition in the Bulls and Celtics, but that isn't a true indicator of where this team is at since the All-Star break. Since regaining Jerami Grant, as well as the leap Cade Cunnginham has made since the break, the Pistons are a better team across the board, improving considerably on both ends of the floor when you look at the raw numbers. The Clippers continue to surprise given the fact that they are missing their two best players, but they have lost three of their last four games. Detroit will like their chances on their home court today.

76ers vs. Magic, 6:00PM ET

Philly are in action for the first time since their disappointing loss against the Nets on Thursday and there won't be too many people expecting anything less than a rebound win here tonight against the Magic. Orlando might not be such easy walkovers, though, with a big performance on Friday night against the Timberwolves turning heads. This one is too difficult to call at the spread for my liking, but one thing that has remained consistent, however, is some of the relatively low numbers both of these teams are putting up. The Magic are scoring well below the NBA average at the moment, going at 104 points per game over their last five while the Sixers are just on the average at 110 points. Philadelphia are also playing it really slowly, averaging just 98.8 possessions per game over their last three - the second slowest in the league behind Dallas. Expect this one to slow right down, with minimal point scoring opportunities.
