Nuggets vs. Lakers, 3:30PM ET

It's time to call a spade, a spade - or in this case, an awful team, an awful team. The Lakers just aren't any good - it doesn't matter if they have AD or LeBron in the lineup, chemistry issues are rife and depth coming off the bench is minimal. To just expect things to turn around in an instant because their two banged up stars are back on the court together is naive. That's not to mention that their opponents in the Nuggets actually have some stuff to play for also. The 'books have been generous to us all year when it comes to giving us odds to fade the Lakers with, and we'll gladly gobble that up again here.

76ers vs. Cavaliers, 6:00PM ET

The loss of Jarett Allen has stung the Cavs in recent weeks, having won just two of their last seven games. They will feel that loss even more this evening with one of the MVP front runners in Joel Embiid who will play bully ball like you're never seen against former UCLA product Moses Brown. Brown has been doing some nice things, but he simply does not have the strength to compete against Embiid. Either Embiid dominates, or he gets doubled and opens up the court for others to shine.

Heat vs. Raptors, 7:00PM ET

Miami have now put together three really nice wins in a row, including against the likes of Boston and Chicago last night and they now find themselves clearly out in front for the No. 1 seed in the East which means a potential date with the 10th placed Nets in the first round. I'm going against the conspiracy theorists who think that the Heat would throw games to avoid Brooklyn because that creates a bad culture inside locker rooms, and besides, the Nets, on current form, aren't that scary. I'm taking the points for an in-form team.
