+455 Lakers vs. Nuggets Parlay Analysis

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Denver Nuggets, 8:30PM ET

LEG 1: Nikola Jokic Over 9.5 Assists

In four games against the Lakers this season - a series that was split 2-2 - former MVP Nikola Jokic was down on his usual scoring numbers, averaging just 23.3 points per game (compared with a regular season mark of 24.5), but did keep his assist numbers identical at 9.8 dimes. He faces a tough defensive assignment, likely going up against Anthony Davis who has some sort of look in his eyes now that the Lakers have made it this far. While AD might be able to limit Jokic as a scorer, his ability to create for his teammates is something that is unmatched in this league. Our projections have the Joker notching 14 assists in Game 1.

LEG 2: Austin Reaves Over 3.5 Assists

Reaves has been a revelation for the Lakers this season, and in particularly the playoffs where he has seen his role dramatically increase, going from an average of 28.8 minutes per game in the regular season to 35.1 per game in the opening two rounds of the postseason. That's translating to some good statistical numbers, too, with Reaves ranking third on the Lakers roster for potential assists per game in LA's conference semifinals matchup against the Warriors with 5.7 potential assists per game (passes leading to a shot, foul or turnover). Hitting this line in three straight games, look for the cult hero to have another big game on offense.

LEG 3: Anthony Davis Over 22.5 Points

You never quite know what kind of Anthony Davis you're going to get on any given night, but our DimersBOT is willing to roll the dice and back him in with a projected points total in Game 1 of 29 points. Davis and Jokic have had some decent tussles over the years and Davis should head into this one with confidence that he can score freely, with a career average of 25.6 points per game against the Joker. The Lakers know that a big game from AD is an absolute requirement to get this series started off on the right note.
