NBA Parlay Today, Monday January 2, 2023

Our first NBA player props parlay of 2023 would pay out at +554 odds and we're feeling good about it. We hit two of these at bigger odds last week, so this one certainly feels within reach. For the Monday, January 2 slate, we're turning to Jalen Brunson, Jonas Valanciunas and LaMelo Ball to help us cash our three-leg parlay. But that meeting between the Phoenix Suns and New York Knicks starts early, so don't let it sneak up on you. We want you to get in on that Brunson play while you still can. LEG 1: Jalen Brunson Over 10.5 Points (-130) with DraftKings

Phoenix Suns vs. New York Knicks, 3:00PM ET

Brunson is banged up and could end up sitting in this meeting with the Suns, but his point total is down at 10.5 and our model has him projected for 24.0 points per game in our 10,000 simulations of this one. That's just too big of a difference for us to leave off this list, so we're playing it and hoping that he toughs it out. 

Brunson has played in 34 games this season and has only failed to reach the 11-point mark twice.

LEG 2: Jonas Valanciunas Over 8.5 Rebounds (-113) with DraftKings

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Philadelphia 76ers, 7:00PM ET

In our model's 10,000 simulations of this Pelicans-76ers game, Valanciunas averaged 11.8 rebounds per game. With his rebound total being down at 8.5 here, his 13.9% edge is our model's largest of the night. With that said, it's an easy decision to throw him into our player props parlay. 

This is also a game in which New Orleans really can't afford to go small. The team tends to do that rather often, but the Pelicans can really use Valanciunas' size against Joel Embiid in the paint in this game.

LEG 3: LaMelo Ball Over 7.5 Assists (-104) with DraftKings

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Charlotte Hornets, 7:00PM ET

We have Ball projected for 9.8 assists in this meeting with the Lakers, which ultimately should be an up-and-down contest. Charlotte is going to want to get out and run in this game, and Los Angeles doesn't exactly have the ability to slow its opponent down here. With that said, we anticipate Ball being able to make a lot of plays in transition. 

Ball is averaging 10.0 assists per game over the last two games, and he is really in a rhythm at the moment. He also had eight assists against this Lakers team on December 23, so racking up eight shouldn't be a problem for him here.
