Thursday NBA Parlay Picks
LEG 1: Paul George Over 22.5 Points (-102) with DraftKings
Los Angeles Clippers vs. Miami Heat, 7:30PM ET
The point total for George is so low tonight that we'd suggest going a bit bigger on it as a solo play, in addition to throwing it into parlays. In 10,000 simulations of tonight's game, George averaged 28.0 points per game, which isn't crazy when you consider that he is one of the better offensive players in the game.
George hasn't exactly been scoring in bunches recently, but he's bound to get back on track and will be counted on a bit more than usual as Kawhi Leonard tries to get himself comfortable on the floor. Even against a Heat team that has the potential to be hard to score on, we're riding George to turn in a good performance here.
LEG 2: Tre Jones Over 7.5 Assists (-106) with DraftKings
Houston Rockets vs. San Antonio Spurs, 8:30PM ET
In the simulations our DimersBOT ran for tonight's Rockets-Spurs game, Jones averaged 9.4 assists per game for San Antonio. The guard has been seeing the floor well all season long and he already has 11 games in which he has hit the eight-assist mark this year. Considering that's all he has to do in this meeting, it's hard not to back him in this spot.
This game has a total of 230.5 and is expected to be a high-paced shootout. With that in mind, you'll want to have props bets on the primary ball handler for the Spurs.
LEG 3: Nikola Jokic Over 23.5 Points (-115) with DraftKings
Denver Nuggets vs. Portland Trail Blazers, 10:00PM ET
Jokic has had some trouble scoring on the Blazers in recent seasons, but seeing his point total down at 23.5 just doesn't sit right with us. Jokic has already had 11 games in which he has scored at least 24 points this season, so this is just a number we've seen him reach with regularity.
Portland is also just 23rd in the league in defensive rating this season, so this isn't exactly a team that is tough to score on. That's a big part of the reason our model has the big man projected for 31.6 points tonight.
