We won't see Anthony Davis out there on Christmas Day, as the Lakers star is dealing with a pretty bad foot injury. We will, however, still get to see LeBron and Luka, and that's good enough from a viewing perspective. Dallas is a favorite at home in this one, but you can never count out a team that is led by LeBron. And the four-time NBA champion loves to play in big games, so he'll enjoy having the spotlight on him here. 

Since the start of the 2020-21 season, the home team is 5-1 against the spread in this head-to-head matchup. So, the Mavericks will feel pretty good about their chances here — especially considering they have one of the best home-court advantages in the league. Dallas should also feel good about the fact that it is ranked a lot higher than Los Angeles when it comes to offensive rating, while being right there with Los Angeles on defense.

With that in mind, the Mavericks are in good shape heading into this game. And with Davis out, the Lakers are just lacking in firepower surrounding LeBron. Luka has a pretty lousy supporting cast compared to a lot of other superstars, but his team is much better than the one Los Angeles will have out there with Davis injured. 

Don't be surprised if this is somewhat high scoring. Neither one of these teams plays a lot of defense, and LeBron and Luka will want to put up some big numbers on Christmas Day.
