NBA Futures 2022: Championship Winner Predictions and Bets

The NBA Playoffs are here and it's looking like being one of the most hotly contested editions we've had for years, meaning there's some nice value out there for us bettors.

Our Dimers predictive analytics model has simulated the 2022 NBA Playoffs 10,000 times to try and figure out which team will be the one taking home the coveted Larry O'Brien Trophy come June.

With title probabilities for every NBA team, our model can help you determine who to bet on. Below, we've picked three teams that look good for futures bettors right now.

These NBA best bets and odds for the 2021-22 title are proudly brought to you by FanDuel Sportsbook.

New customers with FanDuel Sportsbook can play their first bet up to $1,000 risk-free. All you need to do is make a deposit, then place your first bet, which if it loses, you'll get the stake back in free bets!

Phoenix Suns to win the NBA Title

  • Dimers' probability to win the NBA Title: 21.2%
  • Implied odds based on their probability: +372
  • Current best available odds: +270 with FanDuel Sportsbook

Although this one is technically not a bet to make according to DimersBOT, we simply couldn't ignore the team atop of the both the sportsbooks' odds and our projections.

At a 21.2% probability, the Suns are the most likely team to come out on top this season, but at +270 aren't quite a smart bet to make at this stage.

Phoenix has been the most consistent team all year long, winning eight more games than the next best team (Memphis), making them a popular pick amongst sharps and models alike.

With the most wins across the entire league, the Suns will have home court advantage for every series they compete in over the next two months, giving them the best chance to win the title.

Boston Celtics to win the NBA Title

  • Dimers' probability to win NBA Title: 20.2%
  • Implied odds based on their probability: +395
  • Current best available odds: +1100 with FanDuel Sportsbook

The biggest edge that our model has detected on these NBA Playoffs comes in the form of the best team post-ASB, the Boston Celtics.

Boston has gone 17-5 since the All-Star break, and 34-12 since the turn of the calendar.

At a massive 20.2% probability, the Celts are the second most likely team to win the chip this year according to our model, whilst they are the fifth most likely according to the books.

Tatum and Co. are most certainly the smartest bet to make right now, especially if you're doing so with FanDuel Sportsbook where you can place your first bet risk-free up to $1,000.

LA Clippers to win the NBA Title

  • Dimers' Probability to win NBA Title: 3.8%
  • Implied odds based on their probability: +2500
  • Current best available odds: +4900 with FanDuel Sportsbook

Last up we have the L.A. Clippers to win the NBA Championship, and boy is this an interesting pick from the BOT!

The Clippers have been one of the most well-coached teams all season, navigating the majority of it without both Paul George and Kawhi Leonard.

But with PG now back and strong rumors of a Kawhi return soon, things are moving in the right direction for the Clips.

Having learned how to win without their big two this season, having them back means they have even more means to victory than usual.
