Three Things To Know Before Betting On Lakers vs. Warriors

1. Head-To-Head

The Warriors were 3-1 in four games played against the Lakers last year, but Los Angeles did cover the spread in two of those games. Even with those covers for the Lakers, the Warriors are 3-2 ATS in the last five meetings between these teams. But it's a little hard to factor in head-to-head history with these two franchises both having some down years in recent seasons. It's more important to look at the on-court matchups.

2. New signings

The Lakers actually made some really nice improvements this offseason, bringing in Patrick Beverley, Lonnie Walker IV, Dennis Schroder and Thomas Bryant. The last two players are out for this game, but Beverley and Walker look like two guys that should fit in really nicely next to LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Also, Beverley's tenacity on the defensive end will stand out in a game like this. He'll pick Stephen Curry up from full court in this one. That won't mean that Curry will get shut down or anything, but he could be a little tired late in the game. That's something to consider if this one is close in the end — which it could very well be.

3. Draymond vs. Poole

The Warriors are the defending champions and arguably got better with their offseason acquisitions. However, Golden State has a lot to figure out when it comes to chemistry, as we all know that Draymond Green nearly knocked Jordan Poole out in practice last week. It'll be interesting to see if there are any lingering on-court effects from that situation. The Chase Center will be rocking for this game, but will the classic Warriors vibes be there on the court? These guys might hate each other right now.
