Best NBA Bets Today

Memphis Grizzlies vs. New Orleans Pelicans, 7:30PM ET

The Over is 8-5 in the 13 games that the Pelicans have played this season, which isn't surprising considering they're in the Top 10 in offensive rating and play with a lot of youthful exuberance. Their opponent in this game isn't all that different, as the Grizzlies are also a younger team that is ranked 11th in the league in offensive rating. Even with some key injuries, Memphis should still be able to score the basketball because this is a deep team that runs great stuff on offense. 

These teams met four times last season and three of those games went Over the total. The final meeting, on April 9, 2022, was particularly ridiculous, with the two combining to score 255 points. We don't think this one will turn into anything quite like that, but it does seem very likely that this game will be played with both teams comfortably in the 110's.

New York Knicks vs. Utah Jazz, 9:00PM ET

The Knicks might be more talented than the Jazz, but Utah just knows how to win games in this league. The Jazz are currently fifth in the NBA in offensive rating and ninth in defensive rating. They are playing extremely hard on a nightly basis and it's just hard to see how New York will rise to the occasion and keep this game within four points. 

All season long, the Jazz have been outworking opponents on the offensive glass, while taking advantage of mismatches and shooting the right shots. Those last two things are not focuses at all for the Knicks, which makes this a game that really could get out of hand. The matchup between Lauri Markkanen and Julius Randle should be especially concerning for New York. Markkanen has turned into a borderline All-Star this year and he should be able to punish Randle on the offensive end. 

The Knicks are also just in a bad way right now when it comes to covering spreads. New York is just 2-7-1 against the spread in its last 10 games.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Sacramento Kings, 10:00PM ET

The Nets have been a lot better since moving from Steve Nash to Jacque Vaughn, Brooklyn seems a lot more focused on both ends of the floor and a lot of players appear to know their roles now. It is, however, just very difficult to go against Sacramento at the moment. After a slow start to the year, the Kings are now 6-2 straight-up and 7-1 ATS in their last eight games. They're also coming off a 122-115 win as 4-point home underdogs against the Warriors, so they should be feeling extremely confident right now. 

Sacramento has just been a much better team since rookie Keegan Murray returned to action. He adds another floor spacer to the lineup, which has made it easier on De'Aaron Fox to attack the rim. Fox and Kevin Huerter have turned out to be one heck of a backcourt for Sacramento, and that's just massive in a game like this. Without Kyrie Irving, it's hard to see how the Nets make up for the lack of offensive firepower they'd need to run with this Kings team. 

Mike Brown's group also happens to have some lengthy defenders to throw on Kevin Durant. The Kings won't shut him down completely, but they should be able to disrupt him just enough to win this one. Either that or they'll force other players to beat them, which won't be easy for role players to do in a road environment.
