Best NBA Betting Picks and Parlay Today - Tuesday, January 31, 2023

After going 3-0 with our NBA best bets last night, we're looking to stay hot when we attack the Tuesday, January 31 slate. We're now 8-1 with these picks over the last three days, so we're feeling great about the way we're reading the board lately. Tonight, we have plays on both of the TNT games, with one featuring the Los Angeles Lakers facing the New York Knicks and the other having the Denver Nuggets hosting the New Orleans Pelicans. We're also looking at a matchup between the Charlotte Hornets and Milwaukee Bucks. These picks are made with our expert's matchup analysis, but we also factor in our predictive analytics and artificial intelligence. We strongly suggest backing these, as they have been profitable all year. But we also want you to check out our NBA player props parlay, which will give you a shot at cashing in a big plus-money play.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. New York Knicks, 7:30PM ET

If you jump on this game early, there's value to be had on backing the Knicks. Not only has New York been a better team this year, but there's no guarantee that Los Angeles will play LeBron James in this one. The superstar sat out of Monday's game against the Brooklyn Nets, and his foot is going to be re-evaluated before this contest. However, head coach Darvin Ham said that LeBron is dealing with significant soreness there, so you might be getting a good number on the Knicks in a game they could cover regardless of whether or not The King is out there.

Since Tom Thibodeau became the head coach of the Knicks, New York is 45-27 against the spread in games with lines of +3 to -3. The Knicks are also 63-41 ATS when facing teams that allow a field goal percentage of 46.0% or higher in that span. And while Los Angeles is coming off a game against Brooklyn on Monday, New York has had two full days to rest since losing to that same Nets team on Saturday.

This is just a game in which it's hard to see the home team losing, even if the Lakers do end up having a more top-heavy lineup. Look for Jalen Brunson and Julius Randle to ball out again here, as this is another chance for the two of them to make their All-Star cases on national television.

The DimersBOT also leans slightly towards backing the Knicks here, and that factors in a healthy LeBron and Anthony Davis.

DID YOU KNOW? New York's Quentin Grimes has collected more than 3.5 rebounds in eight of his last 11 appearances? That and more in our NBA Trends section.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Milwaukee Bucks, 8:00PM ET

This is a matchup between teams on opposite ends of the spectrum, with the Hornets being in the Victor Wembanyama sweepstakes and the Bucks being title contenders. However, Charlotte has actually won and covered in four of its last six games, and we like the team to avoid a blowout loss this evening.

Over the last three seasons, the Bucks are 8-19 ATS when coming off back-to-back games of shooting 50.0% or higher from the floor. And Milwaukee has actually lost those games by an average of 2.7 points per game. Now, we don't expect the Bucks to lose this one outright, but they have struggled to put things together three nights in a row, and that makes it hard to believe in them romping a Hornets team that has nothing to lose.

We also saw the Hornets win 138-109 as a 10-point road underdog against the Bucks back on January 6. Khris Middleton was missing for Milwaukee in that game, but will he completely swing things in the other direction? We're a little skeptical. Our DimersBOT gives Charlotte a 55% chance of covering.

SAY WHAT? Charlotte's Terry Rozier has recorded more than 3.5 assists in 13 of his last 17 appearances. You can find more stats like this in our NBA Trends section.

New Orleans Pelicans vs. Denver Nuggets, 10:00PM ET

The Pelicans are still without Zion Williamson for the foreseeable future, but they did get Brandon Ingram back last week. The forward has looked a little rusty since returning, averaging only 17.5 points per game on 30.0% shooting from the floor. But he should get back into the swing of things after having had some time on the court, and we wouldn't be surprised if he breaks out of his slump against the Nuggets tonight.

Denver also happens to be coming off of a road game, and this is not a team that has responded well when traveling back home over the last two seasons. The Nuggets are 25-40 ATS when coming off a road game in that time, and they have only won those games by an average of 1.4 points per game. They could be a little sluggish against this Pelicans team, and that won't fly in this matchup.

New Orleans is also just going to be hungry out there for this one, as the team has lost eight in a row and is far too good for that. The Pelicans might not snap that streak here, but we expect them to go down swinging. Our DimersBOT gives them a 53% shot of covering, too.

TREND: We've also identified an NBA trend for New Orleans' Brandon Ingram that's worth consideration. Ingram has recorded more than 4.5 assists in nine of his last 17 appearances.

BET: Pelicans +7 (-110) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.
