Best NBA Bets Today

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Miami Heat, 7:30PM ET

The Heat have nearly every player on the roster listed on the injury report, but that has become common practice for them. However, it does look like Kyle Lowry, Duncan Robinson and Caleb Martin are all out for this game, while Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro are legitimately questionable.

Meanwhile, the Thunder have the same roster they've been rocking with all season. And that's a good thing when you factor in that Oklahoma City has won and covered in three of its last four games — with one of those wins being a 33-point beatdown of the Boston Celtics.

With the Thunder playing well and the Heat having lost two of their last three games, it's hard not to like Oklahoma City to keep this game close. The Thunder have a much better backcourt, which is led by star Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Having the best ball handler on the court is important, and it's also nice that Oklahoma City has a guy like Lu Dort to stick on Jimmy Butler on the defensive end. That means that the Thunder can potentially cut the head off the snake, which would be the perfect scenario for road team bettors.

Also, the Heat earned a two-point win over the Thunder on December 14. But Oklahoma City is 8-0 against the spread when trying to get revenge for a loss of three or fewer points over the last two seasons. So, the Thunder can be counted on to adjust and perform. The Heat also happen to be 4-13 ATS as favorites of 3.5 to 9.5 points this year.

DID YOU KNOW? OKC's Josh Giddey has recorded at least one steal in 15 of his last 19 appearances? That and more in our NBA Trends section.

Cleveland Cavaliers vs. Utah Jazz, 9:00PM ET

The Jazz are 17-6 ATS when playing as underdogs this season, and they have been a tenacious, prideful team since the beginning of the year. Now, you'd have to think that some of these players will badly want to beat Mitchell, and we know that the Utah crowd is going to be fired up for this one.

Mitchell has said some questionable things about his former city since the trade, so they'll be riled up and make this a hostile environment. It should have the feel of a playoff game, so you might want to find a way to watch it.

Cleveland also happens to be 0-7 ATS in road games after having won four or five of its last six games this season, so this is not a team that necessary stays hot and wins convincingly. And the Cavaliers are coming off of a 14-point win over a lousy Suns team, so they might not be ready for the level of fight they're going to get from the Jazz.

Utah also happens to play a very aesthetically pleasing style of basketball, which will also be a change when compared to a Phoenix team that is sloppy without Devin Booker and Chris Paul.

It's just hard to imagine Mitchell strolling back into Utah and putting his former team down without a challenge. We're taking the points and would suggest a sprinkle on the moneyline.

SAY WHAT? Cleveland's Donovan Mitchell has scored fewer than 28.5 points in 8 of his last 10 appearances. You can find more stats like this in our NBA Trends section.

Phoenix Suns vs. Golden State Warriors, 10:00PM ET

The Suns have failed to crack 100 points in each of their last four games, and things aren't likely going to get much better in the near future. Phoenix is still without both Booker and Paul, while also waiting for Cam Johnson to return — which is a lot when you also consider Jae Crowder is tweeting in all caps from a couch somewhere.

If the Suns don't do their part to score, it's just hard to see this Over hitting — even with Steph Curry returning to action and Klay Thompson finally looking like his former self.

Phoenix doesn't have much of an identity with its current lineup, but the team definitely isn't going to look to speed things up and make life easier on Golden State.

The Under also happens to be 44-29 in Warriors home games over the last two seasons, and the average total points scored in those contests was 220.7 points per game.

Of course, betting an Under with Golden State playing sounds like a nightmare, but you realistically won't be watching this mess of a game. Just take the Under and enjoy some late night tennis in Australia.
