Los Angeles Lakers vs. Cleveland Cavaliers, 7:30PM ET

The Lakers and Cavaliers are both coming off road games on Sunday, but it's Los Angeles that is playing better basketball right now. All of a sudden, Darvin Ham's team has won eight of its last 10, while going 7-2-1 against the spread in those games. Now, the Lakers will look to stay hot with a good performance on the road against the Cavaliers. 

With the way Anthony Davis is playing right now, it's just hard to pick against Los Angeles — especially with a spread this big. The big man is coming off a game in which he had 55 points and 17 boards in a win over the Washington Wizards. That performance came on the heels of a 44-point, 10-rebound outing against the Milwaukee Bucks. There is nobody on the planet playing as well as Davis right now, which has opened things up and made life easier on the rest of the Lakers. His recent streak makes it easy to back Los Angeles, even against a strong opponent. 

The Lakers will just need to make sure the Cavaliers backcourt of Darius Garland and Donovan Mitchell doesn't go crazy. But Los Angeles is a solid defensive team and should have a good plan in place to stop those two.

Detroit Pistons vs. Miami Heat, 7:40PM ET

It seems like every bad NBA slate features the Pistons these days, but that's neither here nor there. We're making a pick on this meeting between Detroit and Miami no matter what and we're rolling with the Under in this one. 

These are just two basketball teams that aren't very efficient offensively, with the Pistons being 23rd in the league in offensive rating and the Heat being a little further behind at 25th. Meanwhile, Miami is a top-10 team in defensive rating, and neither one of these two squads is in the top half of the league in pace. 

This is just a game that has the potential to be really ugly, so we're just going to root for it to be a low-scoring affair.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Denver Nuggets, 10:00PM ET

The Mavericks are coming off a huge win over the Suns last night, so this makes for a difficult game for Luka Doncic's crew. It's hard to get up for two games in a row, especially with the second being a road game. The Nuggets also happen to be in a situation in which they're really looking for a victory. Denver has lost two in a row on the road, but home-court advantage should amp the team up. 

The Mavericks also don't have much of an answer for Nikola Jokic — not that many teams do. Dallas is pretty weak on the inside and that's where Denver will look to win this game. Also, the Nuggets are 82-60 ATS after failing to cover the spread in two of their last three games under head coach Mike Malone.
