Best NBA Betting Picks and Parlay Today - Thursday, January 19, 2023

We're confident that we'll be able to turn a profit with our NBA best bets on Thursday, January 19. There are some matchups that just look extremely enticing to us, even if they're not ones that the general public would be thrilled about. Having said that, find out what some of our favorite picks for tonight's slate are. This should be a fun night of basketball, as we get an NBA Finals rematch between the Golden State Warriors and Boston Celtics on TNT at 7:30PM ET. Then, we'll see the Phoenix Suns host the Brooklyn Nets for some late-night TNT action at 10:00PM ET. We have a pick for the second of those two games, as well as two others. We also have an NBA player props parlay that you will really want to tail. A lot of these picks are backed by our predictive analytics model and artificial intelligence, so we like our chances.

As always, we've simulated all of the night's NBA games 10,000 times each to determine where the value lies for sports bettors across the United States.

Best NBA Bets Today

Toronto Raptors vs. Minnesota Timberwolves, 8:00PM ET

Last night, the Timberwolves and Denver Nuggets combined to score 240 points in their meeting with Denver. Now, we're expecting Minnesota to play yet another high-scoring game, especially with the team having tired legs on the second night of a back-to-back.

The Raptors have also been playing some really high-scoring games lately, with Toronto going Over in four of its last five. The Raptors also scored at least 122 points in all four of those games, and another performance like that would make it nearly impossible for this Over not to hit. And we genuinely think it's likely, as Fred VanVleet and this Toronto offense are clicking. Meanwhile, Minnesota is subpar defensively.

Also, the Over is 6-3 when Toronto is coming off a game in which it allowed 130 or more points under Nick Nurse.

BET: Over 231 (-110) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.

Philadelphia 76ers vs. Portland Trail Blazers, 10:00PM ET

The Sixers are coming off a great win over the Los Angeles Clippers, but winning multiple road games against good Western Conference teams can be very tough. That's a huge part of the reason we just like the value on Portland in a game like this.

Philadelphia is also just 1-9 against the spread when the total is 230 or higher since the start of last season. And the Sixers have lost those games by an average of 2.2 points per game, so it's not even like they're regularly winning them outright. On top of that, they're also 8-22 ATS when playing eight or more games in 14 days in that same span. That means that Philadelphia tends to struggle a bit when the team is lacking in rest, and that's definitely the situation here.

Considering the Sixers could be a bit tired here, the Blazers are also an even tougher matchup than most. They have a team full of guards that can push the pace and score in a hurry, and they will definitely be looking to play faster in this one.

SAY WHAT? Portland's Jerami Grant has collected more than 4.5 rebounds in seven of his last 13 games. You can find more stats like this in our NBA Trends section.

BET: Blazers +2 (-110) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Phoenix Suns, 10:00PM ET

The Suns have lost nine of their last 10 games and are really missing Devin Booker right now, but they will get Cam Johnson back for this game. That's a huge addition for a Phoenix team that needs as many competent basketball players as possible.

Not only should Phoenix have a little extra energy for this game, but the team is also hosting a Brooklyn team that has lost three in a row. The Nets look a little lost without Kevin Durant and we expect this to be a game in which the Suns can get back in the win column.

Since Monty Williams became the coach of Phoenix, his team is 84-59 ATS when coming off a road game. With that said, the Suns will be fired up to be playing at home.

BET: Suns +3 (-110) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.
