Los Angeles Lakers vs. Detroit Pistons, 6:00PM ET

After seemingly getting themselves going with eight wins in 10 games heading into a meeting with the Cavaliers on December 6, the Lakers have now lost each of their last three games — and failed to cover in all three. Los Angeles also poured everything it had into making a late-game comeback against Philadelphia on Friday, but the team then lost by 11 in overtime. With that in mind, it's fair to wonder where the minds of these players are with this being the final game of a six-game road trip. 

All in all, this just seems like a spot in which the Lakers could struggle to find the energy required to cover on the road. This Pistons team has been rather feisty of late, as they are 9-3-2 against the spread in their last 14 games. We don't exactly think they'll win this game outright, but we do like their chances of making it competitive. Detroit is 31-15 ATS after playing three consecutive road games under head coach Dwane Casey, so he should have his group amped up to be playing at home here.

Sacramento Kings vs. New York Knicks, 6:00PM ET

It's a little fishy to see the Knicks as favorites against a good Kings team, but Sacramento has a few players dealing with nagging injuries and New York has now won and covered in each of its last three games. All three of those victories were double-digit wins for a Knicks team that appears to have found a rotation it can trust. 

It also needs to be pointed out that the Knicks are 41-20 ATS when playing with a line of +3 to -3 under head coach Tom Thibodeau. The average score in such contests has them winning by an average of 3.1 points per game, and that record is also 26-12 ATS when they play at home. 

We just expect the crowd at Madison Square Garden to play a big role in helping New York in this game, so we're counting on the Knicks to stay hot with a fourth win in a row.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Philadelphia 76ers, 6:00PM ET

The Sixers are coming off three games that went Over the total, but we're expecting things to calm down a bit in this meeting with the Hornets. Charlotte is without LaMelo Ball and Gordon Hayward in this one, so the road team is already dealing with a significant lack of firepower in this spot. Now, the Hornets need to face a Sixers team that is fourth in the league in defensive rating. Philadelphia also plays at a slower pace than all but three teams in the league, which is another great sign for Under bettors. 

It should also be mentioned that the Under is 23-12 when Philadelphia is coming off a home win since the start of last year. Those games have only had a combined total of 211.8 points per game scored. We're looking at an ugly one in Philly tonight.
