Best NBA Bets Today
Phoenix Suns vs. Miami Heat, 7:30PM ET
The Suns have been hit with the injury bug early in the season, which is rough considering Jae Crowder is already away from the team as the two sides try and facilitate a trade. On Monday, Landry Shamet will be out for Phoenix with a concussion, which means he'll join Cameron Johnson (torn meniscus) on the sidelines here. The Suns could also be without Chris Paul, who is questionable with a heel injury that has kept him out for two games. For a team that lacks depth, these absences will hurt. And it is especially detrimental against a Heat team that is rather deep.
The Heat will also feel like their toughness will be a factor in this game. Bam Adebayo can be a force around the basket on both ends of the floor, which should be problematic for Deandre Ayton. Ayton relies mostly on finesse and won't like having Adebayo going right into his chest every possession. Meanwhile, Jimmy Butler will provide a little bit of the same in a matchup with Devin Booker. He'll make the Suns star work for absolutely everything, which could make Booker a bit tired by the end of this one.
It should also be noted that Miami has quite a few reliable shooters. The Suns tend to have some trouble against teams capable of making a lot more threes than they do, and that would definitely put them at a disadvantage here.

Oklahoma City Thunder vs. Boston Celtics, 7:30PM ET
It has been a bit surprising to see such a stylistic change in the Celtics from one coach to another, but Boston was first in the NBA in defensive rating under Ime Udoka last season and is now first in the league in offensive rating under Joe Mazzulla this season. Not only are the Celtics first in offensive rating, but they also happen to be just 22nd in defensive rating. This is very much a team that is relying on its scoring and ability to shoot the basketball to win games, and that is part of the reason the Over is 8-4-1 in Boston's 13 games this season.
We're looking for another shootout in Monday night's game, as the Thunder are coming to town. Oklahoma City is far from special on the defensive end this season, so the team doesn't have much of a shot at slowing down Boston. But the Thunder do have the offensive talent required to put a big number on the board here, with Shai Gilgeous-Alexander pretty much assuring that. He's averaging 31.1 points per game on the year and those that bet the Over will feel comfortable in having him on the court in this one.

San Antonio Spurs vs. Golden State Warriors, 10:00PM ET
The Spurs are 23-11 against the spread when coming off a non-conference game over the last two seasons, and they're also 49-32 ATS in road games since the start of the 2020-21 season. With that in mind, they likely won't be all that uncomfortable playing at the Chase Center in this one, and they also happen to be getting a Warriors team that is really struggling right now.
Golden State is just 3-7 straight-up in its last 10 games, with the team having covered in only three of those games. The Warriors also lost a road game against the Kings last night, so they might have tired legs for this one. On top of that, this has been a Golden State team that has just struggled to get up for games on a nightly basis, and San Antonio is surely going to be amped up to be facing the defending champions.
The Spurs might not have the most talented group in the world, but they have a collection of feisty young players. That helps in games like these, as you can count on them to at least bring maximum effort. And this is just a lot of points to be giving a team that is 8-5 ATS on the season.
