Best NBA Betting Picks and Parlay Today - Monday, January 30, 2023

We're 5-1 with our last six NBA best bets and we're feeling good about what we're seeing on Monday, January 30. Tonight, the Los Angeles Lakers face the Brooklyn Nets and the Portland Trail Blazers host the Atlanta Hawks as part of an NBA TV doubleheader. However, we're avoiding both of those games and turning to three others for our favorite picks of the evening. Keep reading to find out what we're backing, but do so knowing that a lot went into these. We use our predictive analytics and artificial intelligence whenever we can, but our expert goes deep on matchup analysis as well. If you like what you see here, you should also check out our NBA player props parlay. We hit a big one the other day and have been consistently nailing those all season.

Best NBA Bets Today

Orlando Magic vs. Philadelphia 76ers, 7:00PM ET

The Magic are 14-6 against the spread when facing teams that make at least 36.0% of their threes this season, and Orlando has only lost those games by an average of 1.3 points per game. The Magic are also 24-15 ATS when facing teams that average at least 23.0 assists per game on the year, so it's understandable why Orlando has found a way to compete with good teams, like the Boston Celtics, recently.

Joel Embiid also happens to be a little banged up for the Sixers right now, as he is questionable with a foot injury. Without the big man playing at 100% health, it could be hard for Philadelphia to beat up on an Orlando team that has a lot of size. The Sixers could also be in for a hangover here, as some of these players surely went out to celebrate the Eagles making the Super Bowl last night.

We also like that the Magic have Franz Wagner to deploy as a wing stopper in this one. He could potentially handle the James Harden assignment, and it's not entirely impossible that he'll cut the head off the snake here.

Our DimersBOT also happens to give Orlando a 54% chance of covering in this one.

DID YOU KNOW? Orlando's Markelle Fultz has recorded more than 5.5 assists in 11 of his last 17 appearances? That and more in our NBA Trends section.

Golden State Warriors vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, 8:00PM ET

The total on this game is wildly high, but that's not going to scare us off of taking the Over. In the last two seasons, the Over is 12-1 when Golden State has played against teams with winning percentages of 40.0% to 49.0% in the second half of the season. The Over is also 13-4 when the Warriors have gone on the road to face teams that average 23.0 or more assists per game this year. It's also 9-1 when Golden State has played as a road favorite this season, with the average total points scored in those games being 244.2 points per game.

These are just two teams that will be looking to push the pace in this game, and the Warriors will have the luxury of facing a Thunder team that will be without Lu Dort, who is arguably their best defender. Dort is dealing with a hamstring injury, so the Golden State guards should be excited to get going here. However, Oklahoma City isn't going to go down without a fight, and the team does have the firepower to keep up in a track meet. Nobody on the planet can stop Shai Gilgeous-Alexander right now.

SAY WHAT? Oklahoma City's Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has scored more than 31.5 points in 7 of his last 12 appearances. You can find more stats like this in our NBA Trends section.

Toronto Raptors vs. Phoenix Suns, 9:00PM ET

The Raptors have gone Under the total in three of their last five games, while the Suns had gone Under in four in a row before needing overtime to beat the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday. Now, two teams that have been playing some great defense will clash with one another, making it hard to expect anything but another Under on Monday.

When these teams met on December 30, the Raptors earned a 113-104 win over the Suns. Now, Phoenix is expected to win a similar type of game, and we should point out that the Under is 20-8 when Toronto is coming off three games in a row of allowing a shooting percentage of 47.0% or higher under Nick Nurse. The Raptors should be able to make some adjustments to fix their defense tonight, and they also get to go up against Chris Paul, who likes to play at a bit of a slower pace than most of the guards in the NBA.

TREND: We've also identified an NBA trend for Phoenix's Chris Paul that's worth consideration. Paul has scored fewer than 17.5 points in 16 of his last 25 appearances.

BET: Under 221 (-110) with DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️.
