Brooklyn Nets vs. Washington Wizards, 7:00PM ET

The Wizards have been without Bradley Beal, who is dealing with a hamstring strain at the moment. However, with or without Beal, we like Washington's chances of keeping this meeting with Brooklyn close. In his time as a head coach in this league, Jacque Vaughn's teams are just 3-13 against the spread when playing as favorites of 3.5 to 9.5 points. His teams are also just 9-28 ATS as favorites. 

Washington is also going to be extremely hungry when the team takes the floor here. The Wizards have lost six games in a row and they need to figure things out fast. With that said, we expect more urgency out of this Wizards group, as the Nets have won three in a row and seven of their last eight. 

Look for Washington to get some strong play out of both Kyle Kuzma and Kristaps Porzingis here. Both players will have strength advantages in their individual matchups in this game. And Porzingis has been scorching hot lately. He has scored at least 27 points in each of his last four games.

Minnesota Timberwolves vs. Portland Trail Blazers, 10:00PM ET

The Timberwolves lost by six on the road against this Blazers team on Saturday, but the spread went from Minnesota +5.5 in that game to Minnesota +4 in this one. That's a bit odd and we tend to believe the oddsmakers are hoping to catch people backing the Blazers in this spot. 

One thing that could be at play here is the fact that Vegas likes the head coaching matchup for Minnesota. Chris Finch is a very bright X's-and-O's coach and knows how to make adjustments, so he should have his team a bit more prepared after having had some time to look at the film from the other night. There's also something to the fact that it's just unrealistic that Damian Lillard and Anfernee Simons will combine to score 67 points again. 

It's also worth noting that Minnesota is 13-3 ATS in road games against division opponents over the last three seasons, so the no-cover on Saturday was uncharacteristic of this bunch.

Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Clippers, 10:30PM ET

The Celtics might be an offensive juggernaut this season, but they also know how to play some defense. Boston had the best defensive rating in basketball one year ago, but the team is now rounding into form on that end of the floor this year. The Celtics are now up to eighth in the league in defensive rating, which is big for Under bettors when you consider they're taking on a Clippers team that is fifth in the league. 

Also, while Boston is remarkable on the offensive end, the team is just 17th in the league in pace, while Los Angeles is down at 21st. With that said, this isn't exactly a game in which both teams will be looking to run up and down the floor in a hurry. This looks more like a game that will see both teams trying to execute in half-court situations. 

The Under is also 14-11 when Los Angeles has played as a home underdog under head coach Ty Lue. That probably has something to do with the fact that the Clippers know their best chance of winning is by taking things up a notch defensively. The Under is also 6-2 when the Clippers have been coming off four games in a row that went Over the total under Lue.
