⭐ Star Player: Joel Embiid
The poster boy for the process, Joel Embiid is one the league's most dominant players when he's at his best. Entering a new season, the 26-year-old is now in the prime of his career and needs to maintain a high level if the perenially underachieving Sixers are to get anything meaningful from this season.
🧨 X-Factor: Ben Simmons
The question on everybody's lips: will he or won't he SHOOT THE DAMN BALL?!
The former number 1 overall pick needs to put his jumper together to truly become a force to be reckoned with in the league. Simmons fanboys will point to all the other skills he has, but the reality is when the level of play intensifies in playoffs, the Australian gets found out quickly.
Simmons CAN be the X-Factor for the Sixers if he can add the final piece of the puzzle.

🚀 Why they can win the Championship:
Ben Simmons
The clock is now officially ticking on Philly, and a shaky start to the season will reignite the can-they-or-can't-they-play-together debates surrounding Simmons and Embiid. When you have two generational stars, you have to try and make it work , but so far it has been tough going for the pair. As above, Simmons needs to be able to better space the floor by becoming a threat from range. If he can do this, the 76ers are a completely different team to the one we've come to expect.

🙅♂️ Why they can’t win the Championship:
Jump shooting
The running theme here is spacing the floor and perimeter shooting. For so long, Elton Brand and the GMs that have come before him, have tried to fix the glaring issue with this Sixers team: the lack of shooting. In a league that is becoming obsessed with three-point shots, Philadelphia ranked 22nd in the league for attempts from beyond the arc. If the Sixers don't play with a bit more unpredictability they'll be out again in the early stages of the postseason.

🔮 Dimers' season predictions:
42-30 (5th in East)
Teams around them have gotten better this season and it's tough to find a path for the Sixers to get any higher than around the 5-6 seed. Another disappointing year may spell the end of the Simmons and Embiid era in the city of brotherly love.
